Disney World has been seriously embracing change recently. Changes are happening EVERYWHERE, including in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Muppets Courtyard has closed to make way for a new Monsters, Inc. land. Animation Courtyard is closed to be reimagined.
One Hollywood Studios restaurant character dining experience is also changing, and we wanted to remind you about it. The character breakfast at Hollywood & Vine will be changing on October 12th.
On October 12th, the breakfast at Hollywood & Vine will no longer be Disney Junior Play n’ Dine, but will become the same character experience that you get at lunch and dinner at the restaurant, Minnie’s Seasonal Dining (in this case, it will become Minnie’s Halloween Dine). For breakfast, you will no longer to be able to meet Disney Junior characters. Instead, the characters will include Minnie and her friends.
However, Disney Junior isn’t completely leaving Hollywood Studios. Disney has shared that it has plans for a future Disney Jr. show in the park, so your little ones will still get to see many of their favorite characters. Disney has not yet revealed an opening timeline for that show, but we’ll let you know when it’s announced!
I’ve been to lunch at Hollywood & Vine and it’s one of my favorite character dining experiences in the parks. It’s nice to have the same option for breakfast, although I can imagine younger kids might be disappointed they can no longer meet their favorite Disney Jr. characters.
We’ll keep an eye out for more changes in Disney World, so stay tuned to DFB for more.

We only went to this breakfast once (I just had to meet Doc McStuffins), but I think it’s crazy to get rid of these unique characters. Love the Fab 4/5/6 of course, but too many of the character meals have all the same characters. For what you pay, there should be more variety. Many of the characters at the character meals are also ones whom you can meet for free in the parks.
