If you’re craving something fresh from the sea (without leaving central Florida), EPCOT’s Coastal Eats booth might just be calling your name.
The 2025 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival officially opened in late August and already has a LOT to offer. There are plenty of food booths with tasty items, merchandise items to grab (of course), and even concerts to watch. But guess what? We’re not done yet, because TWO NEW Food Booths have just joined the lineup, and the big question is: will Coastal Eats make you feel like you’ve stumbled into a breezy seaside bistro… or will it sink like an overcooked scallop? Let’s dig in and find out!
Menu
Over at the Coastal Eats, you’ll find a variety of available items. This isn’t the most robust menu, but she packs a punch! You’ll find Lump Crab Cake (a returning item) and some new eats too, like the Peruvian Ceviche and the Seaside Pot Pie.
There are a few drinks on here, the returning cocktail Boyd & Blair Pomegranate Codder, and a new wine option, Rileys Lookout Sauvignon Blanc.
Now that we’ve taken a look at the menu, let’s dive into the food itself!
Eats
First up, we grabbed the Lump Crab Cake with Cajun-spiced vinegar slaw and remoulade. This is a returning menu item, though this year, the description is a little different! Back in 2019, the Lump Crab Cakes served here came with Napa Cabbage Slaw and Avocado-lemongrass Cream, and when we saw them again in 2023, they came with an aïoli and vinegar slaw. This year, it’s available for $7.50. So, here it is, y’all…this is a best of the fest item. Yep, we went there!
The seasoning on the crab cake was PERFECT, and the cake itself was juicy on the inside with a nice crispy baked outside. The crab meat is really the star of this dish, and we really appreciated that there wasn’t a lot of filler to the cake. We also loved how the flavor combined with the slaw.
Next up, we grabbed a new dish, the Peruvian Ceviche with mahi mahi, shrimp, sweet potato, chulpe, choclo, and leche de tigre for $7.50. Now every ceviche we’ve had has also had tomatoes and carrots, but we guess that a Peruvian ceviche is different, but we did find we were missing those flavors. The dish also scores an “A” for presentation — it’s served in a coconut shell. We thought it could have used a little more lime flavor, too, but overall, it’s a good option.
And last of the bites at this booth is the Seaside Pot Pie with shrimp, scallops, crawfish tails, and lobster bisque topped with puff pastry for $7.50. This dish is a HIT, y’all. The lobster bisque is so buttery, and each of the seafood items in the pie is so well-cooked. Even if you don’t like the whole pot pie thing, this could win you over. The puff pastry is crispy, flaky, and almost croissant-like. The scallops were buttery, and the crawfish tails and shrimp were briny. Paired with that lobster bisque, and you’ve got the perfect little meal baked into a pie.
Now, on to the beverages!
Drinks
Previously known as the Cape Codder, the Boyd & Blair Pomegranate Codder returns again this year for $12.50. You will want to mix it up a bit, but that pomegranate flavor really comes through. The codder reminded us of tequila, and the whole thing was sort of like an Arnold Palmer, but with a pomegranate flavor. It’s just the thing you want for a hot Florida day.
You may also opt for the Rileys Lookout Sauvignon Blanc for $6.50. This wine is very sweet and very dry, and there’s a hint of tartness to it, like a green grape kind of flavor. It’s very good. It may not be the best wine we’ve ever had, but it’s refreshing.
So what did we think about our experience at Coastal Eats?
OVERALL
It’s almost like the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival saved its best booth for last since Coastal Eats just opened today, and we would agree that this might even be a best of the fest contender for us. The food here is done SO well, and if you love seafood, you’ll want to make this your first stop at the festival.
That’s it for this booth, but there’s a LOT more where that came from!
