Your Dream Job Is Now Hiring At Disney World

Well, so have we! Disney World often hosts auditions for characters, performers, and more throughout the year. We track job offerings to see what changes could be coming to the park, what hints there are for new projects, and now, so we can audition for a dream job. This latest job posting is one that has us singing in the shower for preparation!

Start warming up those vocal pipes! Your chance to become a Dapper Dan has finally arrived. The Dapper Dans are an all-male barbershop quartet that originated in Disneyland. They are still located in both Disneyland and Disney World and sing daily for guests strolling along Main Street.

This truly iconic group is famous for bringing the parks to life and is often looked to as an example of what makes the parks so special. According to the online posting, Disney is searching for a few things in the next Dapper Dan.

The role is seeking someone for a full-time contract who is male-presenting. For tenors, they request that you can sing up to a high Bb4 in full voice, mix, or falsetto with “access” to E5. They also noted that tap dancing experience is a big plus!

For the leads, they’re seeking a “great lead vocalist” and lead person who can range from Bb2 to C5. If you’re a baritone, you need to be versatile with a wide vocal range from F2 up to A4! Finally, the basses need to be a “true bass” with Eb2 or lower and can hit up to Eb4.

Disney stresses that all of the roles mentioned will require vocal stamina. This audition is a 2-step process. To be considered, you must submit and check in to the audition. Each role has a specific song request for your audition as well. Leads will do Muskrat Ramble. Tenors need to know Mickey Mouse March. Baritones start practicing your rendition of Cruella DeVil. Finally, Basses will sing Dear Hearts & Gentle People.
