A Big Ride Change Happens in EPCOT Tomorrow (but It Won't Last Long!)

EPCOT’s most popular ride is changing tomorrow! Did the Nova Corps decide to give their ship a new paint job? Did Star-Lord add a little “Veggie Veggie Fruit Fruit” nostalgia to the playlist? Maybe the date will give you a clue. What if we told you that the change set to hit Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind was happening on the 21st of September?

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is getting a special one-day change, and fans are going to love it. We’re going to tell you why you NEED to know before you get on this ride tomorrow!

Let’s be real. The roller coaster itself is cool and all, but most fans love to ride Cosmic Rewind because of the epic music playing during the ride. Every time you ride the coaster, one of six songs from a (wonderfully curated) playlist is selected at random to play during your experience.

These are the songs you may hear:

“September” by Earth, Wind & Fire
“Disco Inferno” by the Trammps
“Conga” by Gloria Estefan
“Everybody Wants to Rule the World” by Tears for Fears
“I Ran (So Far Away)” by A Flock of Seagulls
“One Way or Another” by Blondie

Since the song is chosen at random, there’s a chance you’ve heard all of them, some of them, or maybe even the same song every time you ride the coaster (I once got “One Way or Another” FOUR TIMES IN A ROW). However, tomorrow, September 21st, the song selection won’t be so random!

Tomorrow is September 21st, you know, “the 21st night of September.” This means tomorrow, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind will be playing “September” by Earth, Wind & Fire non-stop throughout the day. So, if you ride the ride, you will 100% get that song!

This is a great opportunity for anyone who hasn’t gotten to experience that song on the ride yet, or if you just love “September” (it’s one of our faves)! At this point, the “September” song takeover is a tradition — we’ve seen it happen for the past several years, and we NEVER get tired of that song. So make sure to stop by tomorrow! Be warned — the line could be EXTRA long. We expect alllll the “September” fans to show up.
