Everglazed Donuts and Cold Brew is raising awareness for ovarian cancer this month. This Disney Springs restaurant kicked off its “Glazing Awareness” campaign, which includes an exclusive donut with proceeds going towards ovarian cancer research.

Everglazed Donuts and Cold Brew has partnered with HOW, which stands for Hearing the Ovarian Whisper. This organization supports women with awareness, knowing what to ask their doctor, and financial resources so women can focus on getting better.

From now until the end of September, you can stop by Everglazed Donuts and Cold Brew to pick up a limited-time donut that supports HOW. We were invited to attend a special event to kick off the partnership and also taste the new donut. The event featured Louise Altese-Isidori, who is an ovarian cancer survivor who found out through testing rather than symptoms. She was diagnosed with type 4 in December, went through chemotherapy this summer, and is now a survivor.

The limited-time donut is a lemon glazed donut that is topped with teal icing, yellow sprinkles, and a swirl of yellow icing. The finishing touch is a butterfly decoration on top. The color for Ovarian Cancer Awareness month is teal, making this donut a fitting offering. We thought this donut was delicious! The donut was soft and fluffy, and there is a great amount of lemon flavor without it being overpowering. We got to try a mini sampler donut, but the one available in store will be a full-sized donut!
