There’s one snack that we believe is SEVERELY underrated in EPCOT.
We’ve quite literally tried HUNDREDS of snacks in this park over the years, and yet, we keep coming back to one of our favorite spots — Karamell-Kuche in the Germany Pavilion. This store is home to treats made from delicious Werther’s Caramel, and while you may reach for the caramels themselves, the caramel corn, or the caramel apples, we’re here to tell you the Caramel Butter Bar is where it’s AT.
This snack has been around for several years now, and it is ooey-gooey deliciousness with caramel and buttery shortbread. It’s perfect for when you want a little something to soothe that sweet toooth but you don’t want to fill up on snacks before your dinner reservation.
It has just the right amount of stickiness without being overly messy (unlike some other treats from Karamell-Kuche). That shortbread is soft, and you really get the light buttery flavor in every bite.
One of the best things about this treat is that you can get it in several seasonal varieties throughout the year. We’ve tried the Pumpkin Butter Bar, which was rich, warm, and perfect for the fall season (and pumpkin spice lovers!).
There was also a fall version called the Caramel Apple Butter Bar. This one resembled an apple pie with more of a crumble-like topping. It was fun to have that variety in texture!
And in the springtime, Disney once released a Strawberry Caramel Butter Bar! This was a departure from the usual flavor palette, as more of a bright, fruity option. It had some of that same crumble-like topping as the caramel apple version.
And even if you’re not in EPCOT, you can sometimes find the Caramel Butter Bar (and its seasonal varieties) at other sweets shops around Disney World. Be sure to check in Goofy’s Candy Co. and Disney’s Candy Cauldron at Disney Springs, Main Street Confectionery and Big Top Treats in Magic Kingdom, and Zuri’s Sweets Shop in Animal Kingdom.
So the next time you’re in Disney World (and especially EPCOT), be on the lookout for this snack! It’s one of our faves.

I tried the pumpkin bar last week and it was delicious, but I couldn’t get over the texture. Everything was soft, so it felt like mush. Wouldn’t get again.
I had it 4 days ago for the first time as DFB always sings its praises. And so they should. It’s gorgeous! I got mine from the gift shop on the Boardwalk.
