If you’re heading to the EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival this year, you need to know that there are some additions that are just going to make your trip easier.
We’ve tried all these products ourselves, but can also vouch for what a day in the parks looks like WITHOUT them during the festival, and WOOF. Food and Wine is the park’s hottest festival due to when it starts, so you’ve got to make sure you have the tools you need to avoid overheating, try all the food you’d like to without dropping anything, and overall ensure you have the best day possible. Don’t make the same mistakes we did, and make sure you’ve got these six essentials with you!
This Waist Fan Will Keep You VERY Cool
If you’re looking for the best way to make sure you stay nice and cool during your HOT festival day, look no further than the AMKEN Waist Fan! This can be clipped onto your clothes, worn on a waist belt, or on a lanyard, so that way it hits you in whatever spot you need it most. This is fantastic for people who are prone to overheating, and hot festival days make that even worse. It’s powerful, it’s affordable, and it’s an absolute must-grab!
Keep Your Phone Charged
Keeping your phone charged on a festival day is easier said than done. You’re taking photos and videos, checking ride wait times, booking Lightning Lanes, or looking at Food and Wine menus all day, which will already soak up your battery, and the sun won’t help with that. We recommend grabbing the FuelRod Portable Charger Kit online before your trip so you get TWO FuelRods for the price of one, and then you can exchange them in the park as needed!
Avoid Silverware Debacles
There are times when you’ll get your food at a booth, turn, and find there’s no silverware to use. Now, you’ve got three choices — you could walk somewhere else and hope to find more, wait around for that one to be refilled and watch your food get less and less fresh, OR you can purchase the Reusable Travel Utensils Set before your trip and just pull them out of your bag to use! This is also a great way to reduce waste, as it’s easy to wipe them off with a napkin or run them under some water to clean them in between items or meals.
If You Want A Smaller Fan
If carrying around a large waist fan isn’t a good fit for you and you want something more compact, the JISULIFE Handheld Mini Fan is a great way to go. We’ve tried this many times in the park, and we love how strong it is for its size. It’s also easy to charge with two different ports, AND if you’ve got a cord for your phone, it can even serve as an emergency portable charger!
Stay Hydrated The Easy Way
On hot days, you want to make sure your water is being kept as cold as possible — there’s almost nothing worse than wanting to take a drink of water for some refreshment, only to find that it’s just as hot as the air outside. The Stanley IceFlow keeps our drinks cold with no issues, and our ice even stays frozen for hours! It’s a great size for the parks too — not too big and not too small, and we love that it comes in all different colors so you can decide what works best for you.
The Perfect Park Bag
Having the perfect-sized park bag is also important for your day, as you need to fit all your essentials, but you don’t want it to be TOO large. We’ve found the ODODOS Daily Sling Bag to be one of the best we’ve tried! It’s big enough to hold what we need, but is comfortable to wear over our shoulder all day. Now, it doesn’t have a water bottle pocket, which is important to note, but you can grab a carabiner and clip it on with no issues.
