In case you missed it, Disney World is building a new hotel!

Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge is set to open sometime in 2027. This will be the newest Magic Kingdom resort area hotel, and we have been tracking its progress since it was originally announced in 2018 (under a different name). Recently, we hopped on a boat to check out the resort’s latest updates, and we’re bringing you with us!
This new resort is located at the former River Country water park near Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground! It’s “inspired by the majesty of nature and its enduring influence on Disney artists.” The hotel is really starting to take shape!
It’s coming along nicely!
There are still tons of equipment and cranes in the area along with Cast Members, which we’ve been seeing for a few months now.

We’re seeing two distinct structures along the shoreline that make up the hotel, along with some new red scaffolding.

You can see the rooms really coming together when you take a stroll at the nearby resorts! You can see the 5 stories that will make up the building pretty clearly.

Disney has confirmed this will be a Disney Vacation Club Resort joining the likes of Riviera Resort, Bay Lake Tower, and more. The hotel is expected to be labeled as a Deluxe Resort, but that hasn’t been confirmed yet.
