Aarg! Climb aboard, mateys, The Beak and Barrel is officially open in Adventureland in Magic Kingdom. We’ve waited months to wear our pirate hats and bandanas to the tavern, and now it’s open to the public.
We recently previewed a few of the drinks and foods on the menu, but we’re readying our forks and knives to dive into round two. Come with us to check out this new space!
Ready to come in and see it for yourself? You’ll want to grab an Advanced Dining Reservation before you head over. Right now, reservations have been hard to get, but there are openings popping up. We spoke with a Cast Member today who said there is no current wait list and will not be one for the foreseeable future. So you will want to grab that dining reservation if this is a must-do for you!
It’s located next to the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction in Adventureland, and you’ll see a host stand where you check in. This lounge is family-friendly, and you’ll have 45 minutes inside. There’s a two-drink maximum for guests over 21.
There are lots of details to explore once you’re inside. Make sure you check the wood carvings to see different characters and designs. There’s also sword knicks and cannonball holes, along with pirate flags.
In each booth, you’ll find decorative wood carvings that are one of the pirate ideals: Adventure, Freedom, Fortune, and Unity. You can see some of the carvings in the photo below.

Food from the Beak and Barrel!
Make sure you say hi to Rummy, the right-hand man of Captain Merry, who owns the bar. Rummy will come out and interact with folks throughout their visit.
Check out the ships in bottles, too! They might just break out into battle.
We’re obsessed with the references to Pirates of the Caribbean, but the dangling foot is an iconic one in our books.
There are six different seating areas to try out, too:
- The Mess Hall
- The Cursed Bar
- The Captains’ Quarters
- Four Captains’ Booths
- A Private Sitting Room further into the Captain’s Quarters
- The Mapmaker’s Room
Of course, if you’re coming in, you probably want to try some of the food and drinks! There are alcoholic and non-alcoholic options, as well as some small plates. We previewed the Plunder’s Punch, which is made of Kraken Black Spiced Rum, blackberry, lime, and vanilla, and served in a souvenir mug for $46. It was fruity with a tropical flavor!
The Island Provisions for $16 is composed of plantain chips, blue corn tortillas, and toasted flatbread served with mango chutney, garlic chimichurri, sliced guava, and a zesty cilantro cream dip. There were so many delicious elements, and we were really getting into the pirate mood.
There are tons of drinks and snacks to try, all themed to pirates. We’re so happy The Beak and Barrel is open and ready to serve all of those hungry crewmates.
