Ah, Disney Springs — we love how many dining options you have! We never feel like we’re out of choices.
If you’re craving dessert, there are multiple different options you can choose from, but one of our favorites is Vivoli il Gelato, which is home to lots of sweet treats, not just gelato. We headed over to try FIVE new treats on the menu, and we’ve gotta admit, some of them are more adventurous than we thought they’d be!
First up was the Corona Sorbetto for $7.25. This one is definitely for the more adventurous crowd as it’s beer-forward right from the start—you can actually taste the hops in the gelato. It really does taste like beer ice cream, which might not be your favorite if you’re expecting something sweeter, but if you’re a beer person, it’s pretty wild.
We’d call it a must-try for any beer enthusiast in your group, especially if they’re into Corona, since that beer has such a distinct tart flavor. This is the kind of thing you get just to say you tried it—and maybe to treat a friend who loves beer, because when’s the next time you’ll see a Corona ice cream on the menu?
That said, if this isn’t a flavor you already know you like, you might be thrown off. It’s not bad—it’s just not a flavor people are used to in gelato. Personally, we can imagine a dark beer like Guinness with chocolate translating better, but the Corona sorbetto works as a bold contrast, and that’s where the fun comes in—it’s going to surprise some people in the best way, and others in the worst way.
Then we grabbed the Lemoncello Spritz for $13.25, which was really refreshing! It hit us right away with that limoncello brightness, but it was softened by the gelato. The best way we can describe it is like a limoncello float—except instead of being heavy like ice cream, it feels lighter, almost closer to an iced tea in sweetness and texture.
We’d definitely call this a midday summer drink. If you’re into sparkling citrus sodas like Orangina or San Pellegrino, you’ll get the same vibe here. The limoncello flavor is dialed back from its usual intensity, but it still has that real fruit punch that makes those beverages so addictive.
What surprised us most is that it wasn’t overly sweet, even though it’s literally an alcoholic drink topped with vanilla gelato. It stays refreshing instead of cloying, and that balance makes it a lot easier to keep sipping.
Taking a break from the drinks, we grabbed the Guava Cannoli for $8.25, and this is one of the more standard choices here — what you see is what you get. A crisp, crunchy shell filled with guava cream. It’s tasty, but definitely falls on the “safer” side compared to some of the wilder flavors we tried.
If we had to nitpick, the cream filling is just a little grainy, and the cannoli itself can be a bit tricky to eat cleanly. But the shell flavor is exactly what you’d expect, and their recipe feels really fresh. For cannoli fans, this is a solid option with a fun twist. The guava brings a tart, fruity punch that makes it stand out from a classic vanilla cream filling. Just keep in mind—it’s very fruit-forward. If you’re not into fruit flavors, you’ll probably want to skip it.
Then it was time for the Tres Leches Tiramisu, which will cost you $10.75. Our immediate reaction was pure ecstasy. This is one of those desserts where you see someone else take a bite and instantly think, “I’ll have what she’s having!” If you’re a fan of decadent, rich flavors — so indulgent they almost feel impossible to finish alone — you’re going to love the challenge this one throws at you.
The first wave of flavor is a mix of vanilla, buttercream, moist vanilla cake, and tres leches cream, with warm spice notes and just a touch of cinnamon. What we love is how it keeps unfolding. Our reporter always describes desserts like this as a treasure chest — the deeper you dig, the more surprises you uncover. Texture and temperature balance are huge for our reporter, and this nails it. Everything works in harmony without being overwhelming. It’s the kind of dessert that sticks in your brain and lands right on the crave list.
Finally, it was time for the Pumpkin Spice Affogato for $11! Our reporter’s first words were literally: “Oh, interesting.” It’s a little bitter from the espresso — think pumpkin spice latte turned into a dessert. The espresso pours over the gelato, so instead of being a hot drink, it cools into something surprisingly refreshing.
What we really loved is that the pumpkin flavor tastes more like actual pumpkin pie filling rather than the spice blend that Starbucks has made famous. If you want coffee that tastes like pumpkin, not just pumpkin spice, this is it. As the gelato melts, it leaves behind a kind of pumpkin pie foam that’s honestly delicious.
If you’re into pumpkin spice, especially in coffee form, this is a must-try. It feels like a collector’s edition version of a seasonal drink, and it’s sweet but no sweeter than your average Starbucks latte. If you’re more of a pumpkin pie person than a pumpkin spice person, you’ll still get what you want here. If you don’t like either? Skip it. But if you do, you might be missing out on one of the best seasonal desserts AND coffee drinks you’ll find at Disney Springs.
