Labor Day weekend is going to be VERY busy in Disney World, and NOT just because it’s Labor Day weekend.
The EPCOT Food and Wine Festival kicks off on August 29th, so we expect to see some pretty huge Labor Day crowds hitting up the festival during that weekend. However, ANOTHER festival of sorts will also be happening in Disney World…except this one doesn’t require a park ticket. It’s the Great Irish Hooley, and it’s returning this year to Raglan Road in Disney Springs.
The Great Irish Hooley is a roots revival music festival that happens every year at Raglan Road. This year, the festival runs from August 29th through September 1st. Some of the top Irish bands will be performing on the indoor and outdoor stages at Raglan Road to entertain folks throughout the weekend.
Here is the full list of performers you’ll get to see during the Great Irish Hooley:
- Strings & Things
- Bridín
- Plain Sailin
- Men of Aran
- The Byrne Brothers
- Bean an Tí
- Northern Crossing
Of course, you can’t have a festival at Raglan Road without the Raglan Road dancers, and they’ll be leading guests in an Irish ceili dance through the pub on August 31st and September 1st.
You also can’t have a festival without food and drinks, so throughout the weekend, Raglan Road will offer up all your favorite beers, cocktails, whiskeys, and authentic Irish dishes. In addition to the restaurant’s all-day menu, you can also grab the Rollicking Raglan Brunch at 9 AM on Saturday and Sunday. On Monday, Labor Day, Raglan Road will open at 10 AM with its all-day menu and brunch specials through noon.
So if you don’t want to deal with the crowds, heat, and humidity in EPCOT for the EPCOT Food and Wine Festival, just head on over to Raglan Road to celebrate the weekend the Irish way.
