If there’s one place that knows how to get into the Halloween spirit, it’s Disneyland Resort! From Mickey pumpkins everywhere, orange garland lining buildings, and fall snacks at every corner, Halloween is one of the best seasons at Disneyland.
One way to celebrate that is at the Oogie Boogie Bash at Disney California Adventure! This after-hours event is a full night of Halloween fun with special snacks and all of your favorite villains. We’re here for the 2025 year, so come with us and get your spooky on.
We will be updating this post throughout the evening, so stay tuned to updates!
The Details
Oogie Boogie Bash runs on select nights from August 17th to October 31st and is a separately ticketed event in Disney California Adventure where the park is completely transformed into a Halloween spectacular. The event is five hours long, with so much to do throughout the night. The dates for Oogie Boogie Bash are:
- August — 17th, 19th, 21st, 24th, 26th, 28th, 31st
- September — 2nd, 9th, 11th, 14th, 16th, 18th, 21st, 23rd, 25th, 28th, 30th
- October — 2nd, 5th, 7th, 9th, 12th, 14th, 16th, 19th, 21st, 23rd, 26th, 28th, 31st
Tickets range from $139 to $199, with nights closer to Halloween being the most expensive. The event starts at 6 PM and runs until 11 PM. You can get into the park as early as 3 PM with an event ticket, but the official party fun doesn’t start until 6 PM.
Crowds
It’s the first night of Oogie Boogie Bash, and everyone came here to celebrate! These after-hours parties can be pretty busy, and we’re expecting long lines for exclusive merchandise and characters. Even on the way into the event, we spotted some crowds!
We grabbed our wristband, and we are ready for a night of spooky fun!
Event Guide
Make sure you grab an event guide when you scan in! This map will show you where to find all the characters, treat trails, snacks, and more. Your party ticket includes your PhotoPass photos throughout the night, so make sure you look at the photo locations, too.
Not only is it a fun little souvenir, but it is PACKED full of information for the evening. You can use this event guide to help plan out your evening and see where everything is located in the park.
Merchandise
Who doesn’t love exclusive merchandise? Here’s a look at some of the new merchandise this year. While usually this merchandise is only available during party hours, we spotted this year’s merchandise early! However, don’t count on that, so make sure you grab what you want before heading out for the night. We spotted a Spirit Jersey, sweatshirt, and some event exclusive ears.
We also spotted a t-shirt and button up shirt! They are all full of bright colors and they are a great way to remember your spooky evening at Oogie Boogie Bash.
Here’s a closer look at the Oogie Boogie Bash Ears!
You can also grab this Frogs Breath Cup!
There is even this Oogie Boogie bag available!
Treat Trails
One unique part about Oogie Boogie Bash is the Immersive Treat Trails. You can grab free candy while walking through themed trails with some of your favorite villains. You’ll be able to find rare villains here that you can’t find anywhere else! Be sure to grab your free candy bag when you check in.
Of course, we had to stop by to check out TWO new characters to this year’s event! First, we stopped by to say hi to Syndrome and grab some candy. You can find the Syndrome Treat Trail near Bing Bong’s Sweet Stuff in Pixar Pier.
Villains Grove
Come down to Redwood Creek Challenge Trail for a full walkthrough experience with some of the best Disney Villains around. We’ve seen characters here like Dr. Facilier, Frollo, Scar, and the Wicked Queen, and here’s a sneak peek at some of the areas in the trail:
- Frollo’s Sanctuary
- Maleficent’s Will
- Queen of Hearts Garden
- Scar’s Elephant Graveyard
- Dr. Facilier’s Friends on the Other Side
- The Wicked Queen’s Lightning Forest
- Home of the Wisps
- Dawn
While this is a bit spookier than other parts, no one is intentionally trying to scare you, and there aren’t any jump scares.
Frightfully Fun Parade
You’re not going to want to miss the Frightfully Fun Parade! This parade is full of Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and lots and lots of villains. Disney knows how to do incredible holiday entertainment, and that remains true with this parade. It typically runs at 7:50 PM and 10:05 PM, but make sure you’re checking your event guide and Disneyland app for up-to-date information. The Headless Horseman will run down the streets of Disney California Adventure, which is one of the most iconic Disney things to exist.
Food
There were so many new foods announced for Oogie Boogie Bash! If you know anything about us here at Disney Food Blog, you KNOW we’re going to be trying exclusive snacks to see what’s worth the time and money during your trip.
Attractions
Three attractions in Disney California Adventure change to a Halloween theme:
- Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree
- Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween
- Guardians of the Galaxy — Monsters After Dark
We’re ready to have a perfect night at the Oogie Boogie Bash, so make sure you keep checking back to see our updates. Keep following Disney Food Blog for more Disney details!
