If you’re heading to Disneyland Resort soon, you need to know about this upcoming ride closure!

Disney often closes rides temporarily for maintenance and routine refurbishments, and one of the most popular attractions at Disney California Adventure is about to close for an unknown amount of time. Here’s what you need to know about the upcoming closure of Radiator Springs Racers!

Radiator Springs Racers at Cars Land will be temporarily closed starting August 18th, 2025, for a scheduled refurbishment, with no current reopening date from what we can see on the Disneyland calendar online.

It looks like this ride will be undergoing some scheduled maintenance. Typically, Disney will temporarily close attractions in order to keep them running efficiently, but it does mean they may need to be closed for a while. As of now, it’s looking like this closure will last for at least one month.

And, while the rest of Cars Land will remain open during this closure, keep in mind that the shortcut between Cars Land and Avengers Campus is still blocked off due to construction on the upcoming Avengers attraction. That detour will remain in place through summer 2026, so plan your route accordingly.

Don’t forget that over at Disneyland Park, the annual closure of the Haunted Mansion is taking place. It began on August 9th, 2o25, and will remain until August 22nd, when the ride reopens as the Haunted Mansion Holiday.
