I’ve rope-dropped Tower of Terror more times than I can count, eaten my weight in Carrot Cake Cookies from Trolley Car Café, and yes, I remember when The Great Movie Ride was the beating heart of the park. Hollywood Studios has always held a special kind of magic for me. It’s a park that blends thrills, nostalgia, and making magic come to life in a way that hits just right. And while there’s plenty to love, from Galaxy’s Edge to Slinky Dog Dash, there’s one decision I never second-guess: booking the Fantasmic! Dining Package.

I’m here to tell you — the Fantasmic! Dining Package is absolutely worth every penny, and yes, I’m willing to die on this hill. Instead of sweating it out in line, you grab a delicious meal and get a voucher for VIP seating at Fantasmic!. It’s a perfect combination of comfort and magic. We dove headfirst into the package because for my family, it’s a meal plus guaranteed seats, and honestly? That peace of mind is priceless. Let’s break it down!

What is the Fantasmic! Dining Package?

The Fantasmic! Dining Package offers a meal at a participating restaurant in Disney’s Hollywood Studios AND reserved seating for a showing of the popular Fantasmic! Nighttime Spectacular. Guests can choose from 50s Prime Time Cafe, Hollywood & Vine, Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant, and The Hollywood Brown Derby for this Dining Package.

What is Included in the Package?

Included is an entrée and dessert per person at select full-service restaurants or one full buffet per person at Hollywood & Vine, along with a nonalcoholic beverage or an alcoholic beverage for Guests 21 and older.

How to Book It?

To book, you need to grab an Advanced Dining Reservation 60 days in advance, specifically for the Fantasmic Dining Package. There, you will pick which restaurant you want to eat at. On the day of, you’ll head to your reservation, eat, and grab a ticket for the Fantasmic! showing. You’ll give this ticket to the Cast Members at the nighttime show in exchange for you to access the priority seating. Participants are requested to arrive at least 25 minutes before showtime to be seated in the reserved section. The entrance to the reserved seating is on Sunset Boulevard next to Beauty & The Beast Live on Stage.

Why It’s Worth It!

For guests who want to watch Fantasmic! without using time to wait in a long line to get in, this might be for you. Especially if you are planning to do a table service meal at Hollywood Studios, and would enjoy one of these restaurants. Now you are paying an upcharge compared to if you were only going to eat a typical meal at these restaurants, so the VIP seating is what you are really paying for. For me, it’s worth it every time to not have to stand in that long line with two toddlers in the heat. Instead, we enjoy a nice meal inside the AC and head over to find our seats shortly before the show starts!
