If you’re planning a trip to Magic Kingdom this fall or winter, there’s an important schedule change you’ll want to be aware of — especially if you’re hoping to catch the park’s iconic nighttime fireworks.

Happily Ever After fireworks in Magic Kingdom
While the magic is still very much alive, certain dates will bring a twist to the usual evening experience. Whether you’re a first-timer or a seasoned Disney pro, it’s worth taking a closer look before locking in your plans. Here’s what you need to know about the upcoming changes to the nighttime fireworks at Magic Kingdom.
Planning your Disney trip around fireworks? You’ll want to double-check your dates, because on select nights this fall and winter, Happily Ever After, Magic Kingdom’s beloved nighttime fireworks show, will not be performed. These changes are due to special ticketed events: Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. On party nights, Magic Kingdom closes early to regular guests, and there will be holiday-specific fireworks for party guests.

So, If I understand correctly, on August 15th, when we made reservations at the California Grill to have an Anniversary dinner and watch the fireworks….it is not happening…Do we know what time the fireworks are on the Halloween Party nights by any chance? Thanks for your help.
We have Christmas party tickets for December 2nd. We plan to visit the park all day as well. When will the park close for guests who do not have party tickets? Do they just start kicking everyone out? First timer here for parties 🙂 Thanks!
So can i ask will the Happily Ever After fireworks definately run the in betwwen nights of Mickey’s Merry Christmas party. I am wanting to visit MK on the 12th Nov which is not a party night and hoping to see Happily Ever After Fireworks? Im also wondering if you think the Starlight Parade will be running then?
Hi Amanda! Typically the park will close at 6pm, at which point they will start checking guests for wristbands and ask anyone who does not have a party ticket to exit the park.
Dennis, you will still get to see fireworks from the California Grill, but it will be the Halloween Party Fireworks rather than Happily Ever After.
