It’s almost time for the Disney Destiny to set sail!

The newest Disney Cruise Line ship is setting sail on November 20th, 2025. The new ship is themed to heroes and villains, meaning we’ll get to see tons of our favorite baddies and champions on board. One of those heroes is Hercules in the cruise line’s newest Broadway-style show, and we just got another new look at what we can expect to see on stage!
In case you missed it, Disney Hercules is the new ship’s stage show! The new show will feature famous songs like “Go the Distance,” “Zero to Hero,” and “I Won’t Say I’m in Love,” and they will have live renditions with new musical arrangements inspired by “the soulfulness of gospel music with the energy of a pop concert.”

In the show, we’ll also be able to hear “Shooting Star”! Alan Menken and David Zippel originally wrote the song for the movie, but it didn’t make the final cut. We are super excited to see this song finally be out in the world for us to enjoy. While we’ve known all of these fun details, Disney is finally giving us another new look at the stage show! First, they gave us a behind-the-scenes look into rehearsals for the show, which are currently taking place in Toronto, and you can see below.
In addition to this, behind the scenes, they also gave us a peek at how the villainous Titans will be brought to life on stage. If you’ve seen the movie, you know that at the end, Hercules has an epic battle with the Titans as he fights to save Olympus and the world.

Not only did we get to see this new concept art, but they even gave us a video so we could see how these larger-than-life puppets will work on stage! Disney Live Entertainment and Walt Disney Imagineering collaborated to create these puppets by using “never-before-seen cutting-edge exoskeleton technology.”
After seeing this, we are more excited than we thought possible! They also confirmed that after the cast completes these final rehearsals in Toronto, they will travel to Germany to prepare for the show’s debut in November. We are genuinely so blown away by the size of these puppets! Throughout the rest of the story, characters from the movie will be represented in new ways. For example, the Muses will be guiding the audience through the show as storytellers. The multi-headed Hydra will also be making an appearance as another massive puppet.

Disney Hercules was made exclusively for the Disney Destiny, and it will play alongside shows like “Frozen, A Musical Spectacular” and “Disney Seas the Adventure.” We are too excited to see this amazing new show being brought to life. If planning sounds like too much, that’s okay!

Wow! That looks fantastic! I want to sail the destiny just to see that show! Thanks for sharing as always
They should have brought back “Villains Tonight!” There should be equal time given to both sides!
