NEW Photos Show Construction Progress at Disney World's Newest Hotel

It is time for another look at the progress made on Disney World’s newest hotel, Disney Lakeshore Lodge.

While this new hotel isn’t expected to open until 2027, it is always interesting to take a look at the progress being made. This hotel will be a new Disney Vacation Club Resort hotel, and it is located right by Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground.

Disney Lakeshore Lodge is “inspired by the majesty of nature and its enduring influence on Disney artists.” The hotel is located on the land that was once home to Disney’s River Country water park. We still have a while until we can step inside, but let’s take a look at what the hotel currently looks like!

The above picture was taken from inside Fort Wilderness, and you can see how towering Disney Lakeshore Lodge looks compared to Fort Wilderness. From the water, you can see that they are making great progress on the structure of the hotel. We are counting at least 8 floors on some parts of the buildings! The floors are starting to look more sealed off with walls.

We are still very intrigued by these A-frame structures that have been up for a bit. We aren’t exactly sure what they will end up being yet, but it is possible they could end up being some sort of cabin. Nothing is certain yet, and only time will tell!

Currently, there are four A-frame structures being worked on to the left of the hotel (closest to the Fort Wilderness boat dock). The structures definitely have some FANTASTIC views, that’s for sure! These structures have been up since at least June, and we haven’t seen a whole lot of change on them just yet.

What are they going to be?

Here’s a look around the side of the hotel. This is definitely going to be a large-scale hotel! There is still lots of work to be done before the hotel is completed, but much of the structure is in place it appears.
