It looks like DVC may have jumped the shark on pricing its membership. At $250 per point purchased, many prospective guests are questioning the cost to stay on property. The DVC perks are not what they used to be, no pool hopping, not all restaurants or merchants give a DVC discount, discounts are too small and you cannot stack the up if you have an annual pass. Many current owners are feeling that what they bought 2p years ago is now what we have as benefits or perks today. You cannot buy a Disney gift card at many outlets at a discount, but if you are a DVC member you cannot buy that same card as a non-member price. Notice that all of the deals are on the most recent DVC openings as guests are not selling out the DVC resorts and it is becoming too difficult to get the dales and locations guests want. DVC used to be a good deal, but not any more.
My ultimate dream is to purchase a DVC! Thanks for sharing
