EPCOT’s newest lounge is a total vibe — and honestly, we’re obsessed.
GEO-82 Lounge has brought a whole new level of cool to World Celebration. It’s sleek, it’s calm, and the drinks are on a different level than most Disney World bars. But as much as we’re loving it, there are a few things that have us wishing it could just go that extra inch and be perfect. So let’s talk about the little issues that are kinda driving us nuts.
Only Two Mocktails?
We get that this is a cocktail lounge first, but we were hoping for more love for the non-drinkers out there. Right now, the mocktail section is…two drinks. That’s it.
And look, they’re not bad—but in a place that clearly put so much thought into its beverage menu, it’s disappointing to see the zero-proof options get such minimal attention.
Whether you’re sober, pregnant, on a break, or just want something refreshing without the alcohol, you shouldn’t feel like an afterthought. Geo-82, give us more mocktail magic. You’ve clearly got the skills.
No Walk-Ups Allowed
If you’re used to grabbing a drink on a whim at Disney lounges, this part’s going to throw you: There’s no walk-up list for Geo-82. It’s reservations only.
We’re not saying it has to be a free-for-all, but come on — most lounges at Disney at least offer a waitlist. Even if it’s a long one, the option’s there. And yeah, there’s a chance they might add one once the opening hype settles down, but for now, this setup makes it feel way more exclusive than it needs to be.
The Prices Hurt
We know — Disney drinks aren’t cheap. That’s not news. But something about Geo-82’s pricing still makes us wince.
When you’re spending $20+ for a single cocktail, even a really good one, it better blow your mind. These drinks are creative and well-crafted, no doubt about it. But it’s a tough pill to swallow when you’re already shelling out hundreds just to be in the park. We’re not saying make it cheap — we’re just saying we felt that receipt a little too hard.
Now We Expect This Level of Mixology Everywhere
This is a weird problem, but we’re standing by it. The drinks at Geo-82 are really, really well done. Like, the kind of complex flavors and quality ingredients you’d expect at a trendy downtown cocktail bar.
That’s great—until you go to another Disney lounge and get something that tastes like it came from a pre-mix jug. Geo-82 has raised the bar, and now we want that everywhere. Sorry, not sorry.
It’s So Chill, It’s Hard to Leave
This place is a literal escape from the chaos of the park. It’s cool, quiet, and just the right amount of fancy. And honestly, that’s the problem—we didn’t want to leave.
Going from the calm, curated vibes of Geo-82 straight back into the heat, crowds, and sensory overload of EPCOT is jarring. It’s almost too good at what it does. You might find yourself wishing you could just stay there all day, which is a weird problem to have…but it’s real.
We’re saying all this because we really like Geo-82. It’s one of the most stylish, well-designed lounges Disney has ever opened, and it’s bringing something new to the EPCOT experience. But we also know how close it is to being flawless — and we want that for it. So yeah, we’re rooting for you, Geo-82. We’re not mad. We’re just a little thirsty… for more mocktails, more flexibility, and maybe a tiny drop in drink prices.

First, love your blog and emails! They are so helpful and informative!
We had reservations for GEO82 last night. Since Spaceship Earth has been my favorite EPCOT ride since I first rode it in 1987, I was super excited for this new addition, even though I’m not a big partaker of spirited libations.
I have to agree that the variety of mocktails is not adequate. And honestly, I felt like I was drinking a fruit juice concoction instead of a hand-crafted non-alcoholic drink. It gave the impression that without the spirits added, this drink is just flat and kinda bland.
And, for someone who really doesn’t partake of the “bar scene,” I wish we had been seated at a table by the window with a view. Being seated at the bar really took away from our first-time experience, and without a guarantee that we could get a table next go-around, we probably won’t return. This really did make the time we spent there just “meh,” and it didn’t feel as special as I had hoped it would.
Needless to say, Spaceship Earth is still my favorite. I’ll just be hopping off the ride and heading on home instead of trying to reserve a seat on the bar’s next flight. (Pun intended.)
Too much alcohol availability at WDW Parks as is. Pretty soon people will be getting seasick and puking on Frozen Ever After and It’s a Small World, which will do great things for wait times. Go to Disney Springs for one of WDW Resorts if you need a drink, that’s what they’re there for.
I’m finding it hard to buy into the idea that people go to Disney for a “trendy downtown cocktail bar” vibe. Disney seems to want its core to be specifically “sophisticated young person with money” these days. And I agree, there’s far too much booze everywhere in Disney now.
