Epic Universe is all the rage right now when it comes to Universal news, but there’s ANOTHER new park coming up that you may have forgotten about!

Universal is also working on its new theme park coming to Frisco, Texas, which will be called Universal Kids Resort. It’s been a while since we’ve heard anything about the new park, but now we’ve got an exciting update — we’ve got aerial photos for the first time!

Thanks to @stclairphotos on Instagram, we’ve got new aerial photos of what the park is looking like so far. Universal is still very early on in the building process, but we can see it coming to life!

The hotel on the property is coming along very well, and we can already see some of the colors on the windows. It looks pretty similar to the concept art, which always makes our little theme park-loving hearts so happy.

This is a 300-room themed resort, and it reminds us of a playground. We’re ready to run inside and see what’s happening (well, maybe when it’s finished!).

As for the actual park itself, progress is being made with lots of concrete pathways and bases, a few buildings, and one roller coaster is clearly visible!

According to Universal, this new park will be “set in a lush green landscape” and feature “immersive themed lands.” It will celebrate “Universal’s iconic brand of entertainment, humor, and innovation, and bring to life its beloved characters and stories in ways that will wow even the youngest theme park goers.”

This theme park will be smaller than Universal Orlando and Universal Hollywood, as it’s geared more towards kids. You’ll be able to experience rides, shows, a hotel, and character meet-and-greets featuring Minions and Shrek.

This will be Universal’s first park geared towards families and younger kids, as well as its first in Texas. We’re really looking forward to seeing how it continues to develop!
