It feels like there is always construction happening at Disney World, and that’s because there almost always is!
When we headed to this popular Disney World Resort, we were hit with massive construction walls when we tried to enter. Let’s take a look at what’s happening!
Disney’s Yacht Club Resort is “undergoing routine exterior maintenance from early June through September 2025.” The entire front entrance is completely enclosed by walls!
When we first came up, we didn’t know which way to enter. Don’t worry — there are signs and Cast Members guiding you to the entrance.
Disney warned that construction noise may be heard during daytime hours, and when we visited, we couldn’t hear much from the lobby but could see plenty of active construction workers in the area moving equipment and supplies.
Valet, as well as the medical parking spots in the front, are still available. When we were there, Cast Members were stationed to direct and answer questions about parking.
Right now, Shipwreck Pool and the Flying Jib Slide are closed for routine maintenance but are expected to reopen sometime this month. The other pools are still available to enjoy!
We’ll be keeping an eye on these updates, so make sure you keep following Disney Food Blog for more!

Does anyone know if flying Jin slide and shipwreck pool are open as of today? The my Disney experience site does not list this any longer as an active refurbishment going on at yacht club?
We are supposed to stay in two weeks and want to make sure it is reopened before we go!
Any updates are greatly appreciated!
