The holidays will be at Disney World before we know it, and Disney’s already confirming a few returning popular offerings!

Christmas time at Disney World can be one of the merriest seasons to visit all year long! With so much holiday decor, food, festivals, and exclusive ticketed parties to celebrate there’s something for everyone to find here. But, there’s one specific offering we pay special attention to each year as they come around and it seems Disney has just quietly confirmed we’ll be seeing them soon!

One of our favorite things to do around Disney World during the holiday season is hunt down all of the special Christmas offerings around Disney’s hotels. There’s something truly special about spending some time out of the hustle and bustle of the parks and taking a stroll to see some incredible holiday displays in everything from food, to theming and decor.

But one of our most cherished memories is getting a look at the larger than life gingerbread displays peppered throughout Disney World’s hotels! Each year you’ll find us hanging on Disney’s every announcement counting down to the days when we see each of them arrive at their respective hotels.

We’ve come to appreciate the craftsmanship, artistry, and imagination it takes to make these creations come to life before our eyes, and now it seems Disney is ready to confirm that we’ll be seeing them again later this year! Earlier, when Disney World announced multiple holiday offerings coming to Disney World for Christmas, there was a small (but mighty) note that gingerbread displays would be found around some of the hotels once the season begins.

While there’s still lots to learn about exactly which hotels will have these massive displays return, where exactly they’ll pop up, and how soon we can expect them, it’s reassuring to know that we have returning holiday offerings coming back to Disney World soon.

2023 Contemporary Gingerbread Castle

One of our favorite displays at the Grand Floridian will not be returning for 2025. For the past 25 years, this gingerbread house has been an icon of the holiday season; however, due to construction in the Grand Floridian lobby, it will not be here this year. When Disney first announced the renovations, they confirmed that it would not be returning this year. While we’re disappointed, there are many other displays to check out.
