We’re in the middle of summer in Disney World and a lot is going on, and we’re not even talking about the new lands and expansions Disney is building in the parks.
Nope, we’re talking about some other big news that dropped this week, including a BIG EPCOT Food and Wine Festival update, as well as two ride updates, include a ride that will be reopening with a brand new theme SOON. So let’s take a look at this massive news you may have missed.
Let’s start off with the EPCOT Food and Wine Festival. The festival kicks off on August 28th and runs through November 22nd. Now, we’re still waiting on a full list of all the food and drinks you’ll be able to grab at the festival, but Disney did drop the full line-up for the festival’s Eat to the Beat concert series, which includes Boyz II Men, Hanson, The Fray, Joey Fatone & Friends and more. Here’s the full line-up:
Want to make sure to get a good seat for the concert? We also got full details about this year’s Eat to the Beat dining packages. These special dining packages get you lunch or dinner at select EPCOT restaurants PLUS same-day reserved seating at the Eat to the Beat Concert that evening. You can reserve spots for the Eat to the Beat shows by purchasing a dining package starting on July 16th. You can grab pricing and details for the dining packages here.

Test Track is officially reopening with a new theme on July 22nd, and we just got details about the ride’s Lightning Lane situation. The ride will have a standard standby line, but it will also be part of Lightning Lane Multi Pass as a Tier 1 attraction.
Once Test Track is added to the Tier 1 lineup for Lightning Lane Multi Pass on July 22nd, Soarin’ will move down to Tier 2. Disney also confirmed that the ride will not have a virtual queue when it reopens. You’ll be able to book Lightning Lanes for Test Track as of June 30th.

Finally, more new ride news! We just got a close-up look of where the new Monsters, Inc. ride will be located in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The ride will taking up a huge space behind the old Muppets Courtyard in a Cast Member parking lot. A new photo by @bioreconstruct shows an aerial photo of the space and you can already see that the space has been cleared, has construction walls around it, and has construction equipment ready to go.
We’re still pretty surprised at just how much space this ride’s show building will take up.
