Major changes are happening all around Disney World right now!
DinoLand U.S.A. is being transformed into Pueblo Esperanza, and over at Magic Kingdom, new Villains Land and Cars attractions are coming, too. Magic Kingdom is about to look a whole lot different, and Disney just shared the opening date for a new shop coming to Frontierland!
Prairie Outpost is opening in Frontierland at Magic Kingdom on June 30th, 2025. This “new” merchandise location invites you to shop for wide-brimmed hats, classic fedoras, customized headwear, and more from Chapel Hats at this stylish shop in Frontierland.
While Prairie Outpost is a new shop and concept, it’s replacing the former Prairie Outpost & Supply, which sold park treats like Disney character candy apples, crisped cereal treats, cookies, cupcakes, and more. So, instead of selling candy and treats, this shop will now sell hats!
It’s located between Country Bear Jamboree and Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe in Frontierland, so make sure you keep an eye out for it if you’re heading to Magic Kingdom after June 30th when it opens.
Magic Kingdom is undergoing some serious changes — Tom Sawyer Island and the Liberty Belle Riverboat close in July to make way for Piston Peak National Park, a new Cars-themed area. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is also currently closed for a major refurbishment, so keep these changes in mind if you’re heading to the park soon!
