There is no shortage of dining options at Disneyland Resort, and no matter what you are looking for, you can probably find it somewhere! It can feel a bit overwhelming when you are trying to decide what to eat, but we are here to help. We constantly review restaurants, so you have the most up-to-date information for your trip.
Today, we are heading to Poultry Palace in Disney California Adventure to see if the food kiosk should be on your must-do list for your next Disneyland trip! Let’s go!
Atmosphere
You will find Poultry Palace on Pixar Pier in Disney California Adventure. The inspiration for Poultry Palace comes from the Pixar short, “Toy Story Toon: Small Fry.“ It is right across from Jessie’s Critter Carousel. Just look for the purple and orange carry-out container!
Let’s take a look at what is on the menu at Poultry Palace!
Menu
Poultry Palace’s menu offers only a couple of options: Chicken Drumstick Box, Smoked Turkey Leg, Corn on the Cob (Chili-Lime or Buttered), a Bag of Chips, and a variety of drinks.
Poultry Palace is also currently offering a Chimichanga, which is expected to be an offering through the summer at least.
The good news is you won’t have to decide between a bunch of options, but it might be hard for everyone to find something they want. Let’s try some of its food options and see if it is worth a stop!
Eats
First up, we grabbed the Chicken Drumstick Box for $10.99. This box comes with a side of slaw. The Drumstick Box comes with 3 legs and a good-sized cup of coleslaw. The coleslaw is similar to the one at Hungry Bear, although not quite as spicy. The slaw is tart and crunchy, and we were huge fans.
The chicken itself had a smoky dry rub on it that gives you a mild kick and lots of great smoky flavor. The chicken was both a hit and a miss. One of the legs was moist and tasty, but the other two were dry and a bit rubbery in texture. The dry rub was definitely our favorite part about the chicken!
We also got the Jumbo Smoked Turkey Leg for $12.99. We were pretty disappointed in this turkey leg; it was dry and rubbery. The skin was inedible and sticky, while the meat was dry and tough. Turkey legs are a hit or miss throughout the resort, but this turkey leg was not a good one.
We couldn’t pass up the Chili-Lime Corn on the Cob for $5.59. We also weren’t too impressed with the corn on the cob; the seasoning tasted like taco seasoning with a bit of Tajin, and there was way too much for the size of the corn. We think the butter one would likely be the better option here, unless you are looking for a VERY spiced corn on the cob.
They also have a special item available through at least the summer, the Chimichanga, which costs $7.49. This was definitely our favorite item at Poultry Palace. It was perfectly baked, flaky, and loaded with filling. We would definitely come back for this one!
Now that we have eaten our way through Poultry Palace, let’s talk about our overall thoughts and whether you should stop by!
Nosh or Not
This Disney California Adventure restaurant is a must-visit if…
- You are looking for a delicious Chimichanga. We were impressed by the Chimichanga here, and if you are craving one, Poultry Palace could be the answer!
- You are in the area and need a quick snack. If it is hungry o’clock and you are by Poultry Palace, this restaurant could be a good option for a quick and easy snack. We don’t want anyone to be hangry!
- You want an easy grab-and-go snack. We love how easy and quick it is to grab a snack here, and they can all easily be taken on the go.
You should skip this Disney California Adventure spot if…
- You want a restaurant with a lot of options. Poultry Palace doesn’t have a huge menu, so if you want lots of options, this won’t be the best option for your family.
- You are looking for unique food. Poultry Palace has a limited menu, and it doesn’t offer anything you can’t find elsewhere. It will provide a satisfying meal, but you likely won’t be dreaming about it after your trip.
- You want really tasty food. While we left with a full belly, this definitely wasn’t our favorite meal at Disney California Adventure. It provided some fuel, but we were disappointed in a lot of the dishes.
Overall
Our favorite item we got was by far the Chimichanga, and we also really enjoyed the coleslaw. We were pretty disappointed in the rest of the items we got here. The Chicken Drumstick Box had potential, but two of our legs were not as tasty as the other one. The turkey leg was dry and rubbery, and the corn on the cob had way too much seasoning. If you want a quick snack in the area, we highly recommend grabbing the Chimichanga!

One thing about Poultry Palace, at least in my experience: the 3 drumsticks were large and filled me up!
