We’ve got a Disney World spot for you if you love sweets and treats!

Animal Kingdom
If you’ve got a sweet tooth you may have heard of a certain place in Disney’s Animal Kingdom that’s got candy, chocolate, and more. We recently popped over to try three sweet treats, and we wanted to share them with you!
If you haven’t guessed it yet, we went to Zuri’s Sweets Shop! It’s located in Africa across from Harambe Market. The shop’s regular hours are from 8 AM to 6 PM, so you’ll be able to grab a treat from here at any point during your Animal Kingdom visit, depending on hours.

Zuri’s Sweets!
The shop has some amazing treats, including caramel apples, marshmallow treats, cookies, and more. It was a sight to see all the sugary goodness that you could just munch on. It’s essentially an Animal Kingdom confectionery store. There were lots of items that looked tasty, but we were on a mission for three special treats in particular!

Look at all those treats!
First off, we tried the Hippo Mallow Wand for $6.29. This treat is made with marshmallows and dipped in a grey chocolate coating, decorated with milk chocolate and crushed chocolate cookies. We couldn’t wait to eat this because it looked delicious! It’s been around for a while, making it an oldie but a goodie. (Seriously — we first tried this bad boy wayyyyy back in 2015!)

Hippo Mallow Wand!
We definitely felt like this was a treat that kids would love! It’s a very unique snack with that marshmallow wand look. There was a chocolate cookie crumble on the back side of the treat, which was a great addition.
Be aware, this treat was suffering in the hot sun — so you’ll need to eat it fast, or inside. Taste-wise, it was very fluggy, marshmallowy, and chocolatey. The flavors went with each other nicely, making it a great treat to start off with in Animal Kingdom.

Kids would love it!
Next up, we got the iconic Mickey Tiger Mallow Pop for $6.29. Since we’re at Disney World, any Winnie the Pooh fans can also pretend this is a Tigger treat. The treat is a big marshmallow dipped in orange chocolate coating and decorated with black chocolate stripes.

Mickey Tiger Mallow Pop!
We loved how this treat looked; it was such a fun dessert. Just like the other treat, it will suffer in the sun. Also, be aware that the treat is very sweet — so sweet that we actually couldn’t finish it. After all, it is a sugary marshmallow coated in sugary chocolate. Even for those with a sweet tooth, this treat will challenge you!

It was so sweet
Last but not least, we got another classic treat — the Mickey Giraffe Cookie for $5.49. It’s a sugar cookie with a chocolate coating. This one also looked very tasty, but we found the cookie was a bit on the dry side. Thankfully, it’s made up for with the chocolate coating.

Mickey Giraffe Cookie!
It was essentially a sugar cookie turned up a notch. We still think this would be a great treat for kids, because they’ll probably love the fun look of this treat and the simple flavors. However, we 100% think there are better cookie options available at Animal Kingdom — and for sure throughout Disney World.

It was a little dry
You’ll have to check out this place whenever you’re at Animal Kingdom next. We’re always out to try new snacks and treats, so make sure to stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for more!
