It’s really happening! Soon, we’re going straight to Disney World for a HUGE D23 fan convention, where we expect to see Disney executives, celebrities, and fans from around the globe celebrate all things Disney. And yes, that means we’re preparing for some BIG Disney news drops. Destination D23: A Journey Around the Worlds of Disney is gonna be EPIC.

If you’re like us here at DFB, you probably want to know as much about this event as possible. What’s Disney gonna tell us? When is all the big news set to be released? Who’s gonna be there? We know that the convention features special events, exclusive merchandise, exhibits, and presentations. Now, thanks to the new lineup, we also know all the important dates and times. 

OK, let’s kick things off with a little breakdown of the highlights. Destination D23 2025 will feature:

• Disney archivists, historians, Imagineers, cast members, filmmakers, Disney Legends, and luminaries
• Panels celebrating the attractions, entertainment, and experiences that define Disney theme parks and cruise ships
• Exciting upcoming projects from creators and storytellers at The Walt Disney Studios
• A trip around the world with the Walt Disney Archives, featuring interstitial programming focusing on Disney’s vast connections and history to locales around the globe
  • A special 80th anniversary celebration with The Three Caballeros
• An all-new and updated outing: Walt Disney Archives will share more of the most astonishing Disney discoveries, connections, and little-known facts that will change everything — or at least some things — you thought you knew about the Disney universe

More presenters, presentations, and activities will be announced as well.

A D23 Model of the NEW Avatar Land coming soon

The event runs from August 29th to August 31st, 2025. Over those three days, the key presentations will span August 30th to 31st. Below is a full look at the schedule. Things kick off around 9 AM on Saturday and conclude around 5:30 PM on Sunday.

At this time, Disney has not revealed the full details about its upcoming panels and presentations. Those key presentations will take place in roughly three-hour windows throughout the event. Since Disney confirmed that there will be panels about Disney attractions, entertainment, and experiences (including some details about Disney’s cruise ships), it’s safe to say that at least one of those presentations will cover the new and exciting plans on the horizon. Maybe an update on the Tropical Americas land? Maybe some news about the Disney Adventure cruise ship? We’ll have to wait and see!

A new attraction themed after the Walt Disney Animation Studios film “Encanto” follows Antonio the day after he received his magical gift – the ability to communicate with animals and is situated in the new Tropical Americas land coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
