A popular fast food restaurant just closed in Winter Garden!
Chicken Guy!
The Chicken Guy! fast food restaurant from Guy Fieri — that also has a location at Disney Springs — just closed its doors in Winter Garden for good. The closure of the restaurant signals a step forward to focus on growth and national expansion.
This Chicken Guy! location opened in Winter Garden in 2021, but will now be moving on from that spot. It’s unknown what restaurant will take over that location, but Chicken Guy! is expected to open a new location inside a Walmart in Ocala.

Chicken Guy! is a fast food chain created by celebrity chef and Food Network star Guy Fieri, and it looks like the chain will shift its focus to “focus on regional growth and national expansion through new franchises,” according to Orlando Weekly. Apparently, the franchise “faced eviction over unpaid rent of more than $38,000. A three-day notice was issued twice before the eviction notice was filed in Orange County court in March.”

The first Chicken Guy! to open in Florida was actually at Disney Springs in 2018. It’s located by the Planet Hollywood and Coca-Cola Store, by the Orange parking garage. It doesn’t look like that location will be closing, at least not anytime soon. It’s a popular quick dining spot for those looking to grab something quick to eat, and not wait for table service. The place has some fans who love the food — including us!

Other than Disney Springs, Chicken Guy! currently has two more locations in Florida — including one in Wesley Chapel and one inside a Walmart in Davie. Once the location expected to open in Walmart in Ocala arrives, that will make it the fourth Chicken Guy! in Florida.
