NEW HINTS Revealed About Disney's 'Frozen 3' and 'Frozen 4' Films!

In the midst of Disney releasing their newest live-action film, Lilo & Stitch, as well as Pixar getting ready to release Elio into theaters soon, a lot is going on in the world of Disney movies right now.

However, there’s even MORE going on in the world of development right now! At the recent 2025 Annecy Animation Festival, details about Frozen 3 AND Frozen 4 were just revealed that you’ve gotta hear.

According to Collider, Jared Bush, Chief Creative Officer of Walt Disney Animation Studios, gave us a promising update and hints towards the upcoming films. When he was asked if the two new films would be part of a dual storyline, he kept things vague, yet full of praise, saying the work specifically being done on Frozen 3 is “phenomenal.” He continued, saying, “When people see it, I think returning to that world with those characters, the entertainment value of watching them go on a new journey, but that feels very organic to the story they’ve already been on, is fantastic.”

Now, Frozen 3 isn’t slated to come out until 2027, which is a LONG time to wait. However, Bush said that he feels a responsibility to ensure each and every film reaches a quality threshold, even if that means they really need to take their time with it. Specifically, he stated that they, “have the luxury of being able to look at movies many times, so looking at Frozen 3 as, ‘Can we tell the very best story we can with that and not worry about where we’re going to split into that next story,’ is sort of important. One thing at a time is, to me, the best way to approach it.”

Then the conversation turned to music, seeing as both existing Frozen films have some of the most iconic songs in recent Disney movie history. When asked if he felt the movie had found its sound yet, Bush said, “I’d say I have an idea of what that’s going to be. That’s very exciting. I think we’ll surprise people in the best way. I guess that’s as much as I can say about that.”
