It’s officially summer, which means we want to jump into the pool at our resort after munching on snacks and sipping drinks from the poolside bar.

We have been waiting and waiting for news on when one of our favorite Disney resort pools is going to reopen after routine maintenance, and we think we found a MAJOR clue to when we can get back in and make a splash.

Stormalong Bay and Shipwreck Pool at Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resort have been closed since January 2025, but did Disney quietly tell us when it’s reopening?

Construction from April

Hurricane Hanna’s Waterside Bar & Grill, the poolside restaurant by the pools, just updated their menu with brand new items. Generally, when the menu starts to get a fresh look, that means they’re getting close to opening to the public.

While we don’t have any official word from Disney World besides that it will be closed from “January 2025 through June 2025,” this is definitely a step in the right direction and a hint that it might be opening sometime during June as opposed to after.

If you’re staying at Yacht and Beach Club, don’t worry — there are still pools to swim in. The Tidal, Admiral, and Dunes Cove leisure pools are open to guests.
