Disney hotel prices are no joke — but this one might just be the best bang for your buck.
Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort is one of the three All-Star Resorts on property, and it’s officially the least expensive hotel you can book at Disney World. But don’t let the price fool you — this place is packed with oversized theming, family-friendly fun, and plenty of Disney touches. We took a full lap around the property to check out the rooms, food, pools, and everything in between — here’s what you need to know before booking.
The Lobby
The moment you walk into All-Star Movies, you’re hit with bold colors, film reels, and nods to classic Disney movies.
The lobby has a retro-Hollywood vibe, and it’s where you’ll find the front desk, concierge services, and some fun photo ops. There’s usually a movie playing on the TV near the seating area — a great distraction for little ones during check-in. Mobile check-in is also available through the My Disney Experience app if you’re looking to skip the lines entirely.
The Pools
There are two main pools at All-Star Movies — both themed and totally Insta-worthy.
Fantasia Pool is the main one, located right behind the lobby. It’s huge and themed to Disney’s Fantasia, with a giant Sorcerer Mickey spraying water and lots of room to swim. There’s also a splash area for the kiddos. This is the more active pool with games and activities happening throughout the day.
Duck Pond Pool is tucked back in the Mighty Ducks section and feels a little more low-key. It’s hockey-themed with a giant scoreboard backdrop and is usually quieter than the Fantasia Pool. If you want a more chill vibe, this is your best bet.
The Rooms
The rooms at Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort are all about maximizing value without stripping away the magic. Sure, they’re some of the smallest rooms on property — but they’re cleverly laid out, freshly updated, and themed just enough to keep the Disney vibes going strong. Whether you’re a family looking to crash after a long park day or a couple who just needs a budget-friendly home base, these rooms are built to make the most of every square foot.
Standard Rooms
These are your go-to option at All-Star Movies. Each room is around 260 square feet and includes one queen bed and a second queen-size Murphy bed that doubles as a table when folded up — a smart space-saver if you’re not traveling with a full crew.
There’s a flat-screen TV, mini-fridge, coffee maker, and enough storage nooks and shelves to keep your stuff from taking over. Bathrooms are split: one area for the toilet and tub, and another with a sink and mirror so more than one person can get ready at once. Rates hover between $128 and $241 per night, depending on the season.
Preferred Rooms
Same layout, same features, but the key difference is the location. Preferred Rooms are located in the 101 Dalmatians, Fantasia, and Toy Story sections — the ones closest to the main building (Cinema Hall), food court, and bus stops.
If you don’t want to start and end every park day with a hike across the property, this upgrade might be worth it. Rates for these rooms run a little higher, typically ranging from $137 to $266 per night.
Themed Sections
This is where the fun really kicks in. All-Star Movies has five themed areas, and they go all-in with the oversized props and movie-inspired details.
The Toy Story section puts you smack in the middle of Andy’s Room with giant Buzz, Woody, and RC. Fantasia has giant sorcerer hats and magical vibes. Over in 101 Dalmatians, you’ll find huge statues of Pongo and Perdita.
The Mighty Ducks section is all hockey gear and sports vibes, while The Love Bug brings Herbie the VW Bug front and center. Wherever you end up, expect big, bold theming that kids (and let’s be real, adults too) will love.
Room Features & Amenities
Despite their budget status, the rooms here are surprisingly well-equipped. You’ll find wood-style laminate flooring, plenty of charging ports, a sleek entertainment setup, and lots of subtle Disney artwork on the walls.
There’s under-bed storage for your suitcases, shelves and drawers for your clothes, and a small table area if you’re eating in. The Murphy bed setup makes the room feel a lot more spacious when folded away.
And yes, the Wi-Fi is included — and decent enough for planning park days or binging Disney+.
Bottom Line
All-Star Movies isn’t trying to be fancy — it’s trying to be fun, functional, and affordable. The rooms won’t wow you with luxury, but they hit the mark for value-focused families and park-hoppers who just need a clean, comfy place to crash.
If you’re looking to stretch your Disney budget and don’t mind a little less space, these rooms are a solid pick.

The Restaurants
Silver Screen Spirits Pool Bar
Right next to the Fantasia Pool, this walk-up bar is where you can grab cocktails, beer, and a few snacks. There’s nothing super fancy here, but it’s great for a poolside drink.
They’ve got frozen margaritas, piña coladas, and a few non-alcoholic options, too. Seating is mostly outdoors, and it’s a nice spot to chill while the kids swim. It’s open daily, usually from late morning into the evening — check hours when you’re there, as they can vary.

World Premiere Food Court
This is the main dining option at All-Star Movies, and it’s a quick-service setup with multiple stations. The menu has all your basics: burgers, pizza, pasta, sandwiches, and a few healthier options.
Breakfast brings Mickey waffles, of course. It’s not fancy, but it’s super convenient and open early and late. There’s a bakery case with desserts and pastries, plus coolers with grab-and-go items. It can get busy during peak times, but Mobile Order helps speed things up.

The Shops
Donald’s Double Feature
This is the resort’s gift shop and convenience store all rolled into one. You’ll find Disney merch (think ears, shirts, and plushes), plus resort-branded items and souvenirs. They also stock snacks, drinks, sunscreen, and a few basic pharmacy items in case you forgot something. It’s attached to the lobby and open daily. While it’s not massive, it does have a little bit of everything — great for last-minute gifts or a late-night snack run.
That’s the full rundown on All-Star Movies — it’s affordable, fun, and packed with just enough Disney magic. If you’re looking for a budget-friendly way to stay on Disney property (with free transportation and those sweet 30-minute early park entries), this hotel gets the job done.
