If you’re planning a trip soon that involves plane tickets, we have news for you!
Southwest Airlines, Delta Air Lines, and United Airlines has cut back on their flights for the second half of the year but what does this mean for travelers?
According to CNBC, airlines are struggling to fill all the seats onboard which means flight prices are going down.
Many major airlines have cut down on the number of flights they’ll be offering for 2025 saying that the U.S. economy is too hard to predict right now.
Airfare fell 5.3%, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Even with spring break and Easter vacations, flights have been down.
In addition to families not traveling as much, corprate travel also because less common as companies look to save money where they can. Many business travel customers are less price-sensitive when it comes to tickets and often have to book last minute, so without that income, airlines are facing some difficulties.
While there might be less flights to book from, airfare will likely be cheaper than normal with more sales and promotions being available.
If you’re planning a trip to Disney World, be aware that even with flight prices lowering, the other costs are not. Disney World is planning on increasing their ticket prices in 2026, like they usually announce around this time of year and we haven’t seen any price drops in dining or merchandise.
We’re going to be keeping an eye on flight prices as we get closer to the third quarter of the year and make sure we show you the best flight deals for your upcoming trip. Keep following Disney Food Blog for more travel news.
