A NEW Hotel Is in the Works Near Universal Orlando

Planning a vacation in Orlando might be getting easier!

A new hotel is in the works, and it’s right by Universal Orlando. Let’s check it out!

The Zicav Group is planning a hotel near Universal Studios and the Mall at Millenia. While it’s closer to the first two Universal parks, it could also host guests going to Epic Universe, which is set to open on May 22nd.

The hotel will have over 300 rooms and will have retail space, restaurants, and a spa.

It’s a 1.7-acre property in a central location to Orlando theme parks. It was originally planned to be a 174-unit condominium property, but it will not be an over 300,000-square-foot hotel with 7,000 square feet of retail space.

Hotels need to be able to accommodate groups for tournaments and conventions and have outdoor spaces like pools to stand out against the large market in Central Florida. This could be great for large groups staying in Orlando for business events or traveling sports teams. Because the property is less than 2 acres, it needs to be carefully planned to utilize the available space.

Universal Stella Nova

A second tower, less than half the size of the first, is planned for the second phase of the project.

In 2024, 11 new hotels opened in Orlando, adding over 1,900 rooms. Universal Orlando opened Stella Nova and Terra Luna earlier this year, and Universal Helios Grand Hotel will open later in April, adding about 2,000 new hotel rooms to the park.
