It just got a whole lot easier to book flights on Southwest Airlines.
The company shared that Southwest Airlines flights will be bookable through Expedia Group and its various brands for the first time, covering the airline’s entire network including 117 destinations in 11 countries.
Customers will now have more opportunities to book Southwest flights throughout the United States, Mexico, and the Caribbean thanks to this new partnership with Expedia Group. In addition to Expedia, Southwest Airlines flights are now bookable via other Expedia brands such as Travelocity, Hotwire, Orbitz, and CheapTickets.
“We are pleased to continue broadening our distribution network through this cost-effective agreement with Expedia,” said Tony Roach, Executive Vice President Customer & Brand at Southwest Airlines. “We look forward to welcoming new travelers to our extensive network, inviting them to experience our unique Southwest Hospitality.”
Expedia Group Chief Commercial Officer, Greg Schulze, added, “Southwest Airlines is a beloved brand known for its customer-first service and operational excellence. This partnership aligns perfectly with our mission to offer the most travel options and deliver exceptional value to our customers.”
Expedia Group’s advanced data analytics and AI-driven tools help Southwest “efficiently reach more than 10 million average daily visitors” across Expedia’s various sites. Southwest flights will be bookable on Expedia starting this week, with all flights being bookable on Expedia beginning Thursday, March 6th.
