It’s a big weekend, at least for advertising. Yes, there’s some kind of sporting event happening (yeah, we know, it’s the SUPER BOWL), but let’s face it…what we’re really excited about are all the great Super Bowl commercials, which are entertaining in and of themselves.

Now, we’ve already seen the head-scratching ad that Disney dropped for Disney+, but we’ve now got a FIRST LOOK at the first EVER Super Bowl commercial for Universal Orlando’s Epic Universe, which opens in May. Now, THAT’S exciting! So let’s go through the portal and check it out.

So the brand-new Epic Universe Super Bowl commercial starts by entering a portal, which is how Universal has designed the new park — each land has a portal that leads into it. The ad features some new looks at the park’s five lands: The Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Ministry of Magic, How to Train Your Dragon — Isle of Berk, Dark Universe, Super Nintendo World, and Celestial Park. Let’s just say the ad is EPIC.

Epic Universe officially opens on May 22nd, but one of the hotels near the new land has already opened, Universal Stella Nova Hotel. We recently had a chance to check the new hotel out — you can read all about it here. Its sister hotel, Universal Terra Luna will open on March 25th, while the in-park hotel, Universal Grand Helios, will open with Epic Universe on May 22nd.
