It is no secret that a trip to Disney World can be a bit expensive.

In October of 2024, Disney hit us with price increases on thousands of menu items, Annual Passes, and park tickets. October has historically been when Disney hits us with those types of price increases. Sadly, price increases on Disney World hotel rooms tend to be announced in February. While there has not been any word yet, there are still three things currently affecting room rates right now. 

Let’s take a look at the three things that are currently affecting 2025 room rates at Disney World.

The Holiday Season is Busy Season at Disney World

Disney understands supply and demand, and that is why park tickets, Lightning Lane prices, and, yes, hotel room prices fluctuate based on demand throughout the year.

Typically, hotel room prices are the most expensive around the holiday season at Disney World. This includes the week of Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years. Disney knows that people will flock to the parks to see all the decorations and attend the holiday parties. Due to this, Disney is able to increase room rates due to the demand.

It Costs More to Park 

Let us be a bit more clear: overnight parking is still free for Disney World hotel guests, and they even get free standard parking at the four theme parks, two water parks, and Disney Springs. 

But if you want to splurge on valet, the price increases announced this past October have already gone into effect. Previously, it was $39 a day to keep your car parked in the valet. However, it now costs $42 a day. 

Take Advantage of Promotions

While price increases can be scary, Disney hosts a ton of hotel promotions throughout the year! Discounts can not be stacked, and as a word of warning, the most obvious discount may not be the best one. So we recommend playing some Disney tunes and sitting down to do the math to see which promotion will give you the most bang for your buck!

Here is a look at some of the current hotel promotions:

You can save up to $200 per night with the Stay, Play, and Save deal! This hotel and ticket package can be applied to stays at select Disney World resort hotels for 3-night, 2-day room and ticket packages. You can get these savings for packages from February 26th through June 30th, 2025, for rooms and tickets.

Want to save up to 25% off of your room stay? Disney World guests can save up to 25% on rooms for stays most nights from February 23rd to April 30th, 2025, and save up to 20% on rooms for stays most Sunday to Thursday nights from January 1st to February 20th, 2025.

You can save even more when you stay longer! In 2025, Disney World guests can save up to 30% on certain rooms at Disney World hotels when they stay five consecutive nights or longer—staying less than five nights? There are other savings available for shorter stays! This offer is valid for most nights from May 1st to September 30th, 2025.

Annual Passholders already save on Disney merchandise and dining with their Passholder discount, but in 2025, they can save even more on hotel stays! Annual Passholders can score up to 40% off rooms for stays from June 1st to July 31st, 2025, or 35% off rooms from May 1st to May 31st, 2025.

The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin is running a promotion for Annual Passholders and Florida Residents. If you fall into this category, you can save up to 30% off stays. They are also offering another discount for teachers, nurses, and first responders. As a thank you to these select guests’ dedication and service, they can save up to 20% on stays. To get more details or to make reservations, guests can call 1-800-828-8850 and mention the nurse’s rate or teacher’s rate. The offer is also available on the Marriott/Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin website — you can use code Y7N in the Corporate/Promo code box when you book your room. You will also need to have a valid ID at check-in to get the offer.

And that is not all! The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin has yet another promotion running for D23 Gold Members, as they can save up to 20% off their stay. This offer expires on April 30th, 2025. You can book the deal over the phone by calling 1-800-227-1500 or redeem your offer online.

Finally, Disney World is offering a discount for Florida residents in early 2025. Floridians can save up to 30% on rooms for stays most nights from February 23rd to April 30th, 2025, and up to 25% on rooms for stays most Sunday to Thursday nights from January 1st to February 20th, 2025! And there is another deal for Florida Residents for the summer! They can save up to 35% on rooms for stays most nights from May 1st to July 31st, 2025, when you book by February 24th, 2025.

While we expect to see hotel price increases announced sometime this month, make sure to keep these promotions in mind before booking your trip, as they can help balance out any price increases that might be on the horizon.
