The Disney Parks are constantly changing, and it can be tough to keep up.

Last year, Disney unloaded SO MUCH info about the future of its theme park experiences at D23 2024: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event. We learned about land expansions, whole new themed lands, new rides, and so much more coming to the theme parks worldwide. Really, we now know that the parks are going to be incredibly busy with TONS of projects over the coming years. With that said, 2025 is seeing plenty of construction start, but only a handful of new attractions are opening this year.

As we previously mentioned, there aren’t a ton of actual new rides opening at the Disney Parks in 2025 as they all mostly be in the beginning stages of construction. With that in mind, we’re lumping in a few highly-anticipated shows. Without further ado, here are EIGHT Disney Parks attractions that are slated to open in 2025.

Magic Kingdom

Disney Starlight — NOW SHOWING!

A brand new nighttime parade has come to Magic Kingdom as of July 20th, 2025. It’s time for Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away!

Disney Starlight follows in the footsteps of previous iconic nighttime spectaculars like the Main Street Electrical Parade and SpectroMagic. Disney Experiences Chairman Josh D’Amaro shared that, “Disney Starlight will add to that legacy” of these beloved nighttime parades.

EPCOT

New Test Track — NOW OPEN!

A brand new version of Test Track has come to EPCOT as of July 22nd, 2025! Disney collaborated with Chevrolet, the ride’s sponsor, to celebrate the spirit of innovation while also looking forward to the human “drive” for a brighter tomorrow. The new version of the ride offers a look at past, present, and future with the queue presenting six distinct exhibits.

Disney had previously shared that guests will take a joy ride through scenes focusing on onboard technology, customization, and personalization, ending with a trip through a scenic outdoor route.

The attraction update also debuts an all-new musical score, as well as new scenes that highlight the technology that makes our cars smarter. You can check it all out HERE!

Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After — NOW OPEN!

EVERYTHING is coming up villains and we are here for it. The Disney Villains renaissance has begun! Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After is a brand new show made its debut on May 27th, 2025!

In this show, the Magic Mirror summons some of your favorite Disney Villains who will break through the glass and explain why we’ve misunderstood them. After the villains share their side of the story, “In the end, it will be on you to make the final call in a delightfully wicked finale filled with dozens of the most infamous evildoers awaiting your decision from within the Mirror’s realm.”

“The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure” — NOW OPEN!

The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure also opened on May 27th, 2025! 

The story is retold almost entirely from Ariel’s point of view and features two songs that weren’t in the previous Little Mermaid show in Hollywood Studios: “Daughters of Triton” and “Kiss the Girl.” The show features live actors, puppets, digital animation, and even some live motion capture integrated together to fully replicate the underwater setting!

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Zootopia: Better Zoogether! — NOW OPEN!

Guests will see Judy Hopps, Nick Wilde, and more characters from Disney Animation’s Zootopia. The all-new 4D show begins when you arrive at the main stage just in time for Zoogether Day festivities, where you’ll spot some new and familiar faces!

Disneyland Park

Walt Disney — A Magical Life — NOW OPEN!

Over at Disneyland Park, guests can now “see Walt Disney through the magic of Audio-Animatronics technology” for the first time EVER in Walt Disney — A Magical Life!

The new show made its debut on July 17th, 2025! Currently, it is the only show playing in the Main Street Opera House. But ultimately, it will be presented in rotation with Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln at a future date, to be announced.

Tokyo DisneySea

Over in Tokyo, Tokyo DisneySea welcomed the brand-new Dreams Take Flight show on July 16th!

The show is held at the Hangar Stage and features characters from Disney and Pixar Animation projects like Mickey, Minnie, Max, Chip ‘n’ Dale, Pete, Donald, Miguel, Moana, Pocahontas, and many more. The characters work together to build an airplane amid plenty of songs and dancing.

Disneyland Paris

Disney Tales of Magic is a fireworks show at Disneyland Paris that debuted on January 10th.

The show is 20 minutes long and includes multimedia elements (as well as drones) inspired by Cinderella, Encanto, Inside Out, Pinocchio, and many more films.
