NEWS: Costco Just Confirmed CHANGE to Its Hot Dog Combo

We know a lot of our DFB readers are Costco shoppers, and for good reason. We like to shop there, too.

Costco is a great spot to some pretty awesome Disney souvenirs, as well as discounted Disney gift cards (which come in handy for those Disney trips), and Southwest gift cards (ditto!). Did you know you could even save money on Disney Cruise Line with Costco? Well, you can! If you visit your local Costco, you’re probably very familiar with its food court. Well, something BIG has recently changed there: Coca-Cola products are now being served, including with the $1.50 Hot Dog Combo, according to NBC News.

If you order a beverage in the Costco food court or get the $1.50 hot dog combo, the beverage you will now get will be a Coca-Cola product. Previously, it would have been a Pepsi product. But Costco recently shared that it would serve Coca-Cola after 12 years of serving Pepsi, so this is a pretty big deal! Especially if you’re a soda connoisseur like us.

“This summer, we will be converting our food court fountain business back over to Coca-Cola,” Costco CEO Ron Vachris said.

Before 2013, the original $1.50 hot dog deal was served with Coca-Cola products, but to keep the $1.50 price, the company switched to Pepsi. The company has raised some prices for its other food court items over the years, but the hot dog combo has been $1.50 since 1985, and it will remain so for the time being. Thank goodness!

So, if you plan on visiting Costco and find yourself in the food court, don’t be surprised when you see that your drink options have changed.
