Southwest has added more flights during the weekend of the Super Bowl so that folks can travel to New Orleans to cheer on their hometown team. Now that we know Super Bowl LIX will be played between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs, Southwest is offering more flights for the big game!

Whether you’re heading to the Super Bowl or just happen to be traveling between Kansas City, Philadelphia, and New Orleans at this time (which seems unlucky!), new Southwest flights are always a reason to celebrate!

On Friday, February 7th, 2025, Southwest will offer:

• From Kansas City to New Orleans: 7 additional nonstop flights, for a total of 8 nonstop options.
• From Philadelphia to New Orleans: 5 nonstop flights.

And, on Saturday, February 8th, 2025, Southwest will offer:

• From Kansas City to New Orleans: 2 additional nonstop flights, for a total of 3 nonstop options.
• From Philadelphia to New Orleans: 1 nonstop flight.

Southwest Airlines

After the winner has been crowned, on Monday, February 10th, 2025, Southwest will offer the following:

• From New Orleans to Kansas City: 10 additional nonstop flights, for a total of 11 nonstop options.
• From New Orleans to Philadelphia: 6 nonstop flights.

The flights between New Orleans and Philadelphia typically are NOT nonstop, so this is a new change specifically for these Super Bowl flights.

Going to be traveling during the big game on February 9th? If you travel on Southwest flights with WiFi capabilities, you’ll be able to catch the game on your flight using the Inflight Entertainment Portal! Just connect to the portal and watch the game for free with live TV, where available.
