Your next sailing with Disney Cruise Line might look a little different, thanks to this small but important CHANGE!

Time to enter our room!
There are so many exciting updates happening within Disney Cruise Line. They’ve just welcomed the next ‘Wish’ class ship, the Disney Treasure, to the fleet, with several more new ships expected to set sail in 2025. It seems, though, that Disney is also taking this time to make a few changes that you should know about before your next cruise. If you’re considering sailing with Disney Cruise Line soon, this new change is important to keep in mind!
Disney Cruise Line just announced another policy change that will begin soon. This time, the change will be made to the iconic luggage tags you receive before you set sail. Disney Cruise Line’s new version of their luggage tags will soon feature a new format that hopes to “streamline the luggage process by making luggage tags easier to identify.” Actually, it’s a change you may have already noticed if you’re sailing soon. Disney began sending luggage tags reflecting the new format last week.

Disney Treasure Cruise Ship
Going forward for sailings, there will now be three versions of tags sent out for sailings onboard a Disney Cruise Line ship — Concierge, Non-Concierge, and GTY. (GTY is short for “Guarantee,” and if you book a stateroom without knowing the exact room number, it is called a “Guarantee” since Disney guarantees that your booking will be in the category you pay for or better.)

Stateroom
Each ship will have its own specific color for luggage tags, which means the biggest update here is that Concierge stateroom guests will no longer be a separate color (as they have been previously). Instead, concierge stateroom luggage tags will be noted with a crossed-key icon similar to the icon you’ll find for the concierge lounges. Guarantee (GTY) stateroom luggage tags will feature a large blank space for its owners to write in their stateroom number once it is assigned. The colors for each Disney Cruise Line ship will be as follows:
- Disney Magic – Green
- Disney Wonder – Orange
- Disney Dream – Blue
- Disney Fantasy – Purple
- Disney Wish – Maroon
- Disney Treasure – Yellow
Additionally, the updated luggage tags will no longer use a barcode, and the coordinating stateroom numbers will be printed in a larger font.

The timeline for you to receive your luggage tags in advance won’t change. If you don’t receive your stateroom luggage tags before your sailing, don’t worry! There will be additional tags available at the port for each stateroom category as porters assist in unloading your luggage.

Port Canaveral
Since this is a change that has already been started in the middle of active sailings, there is a chance you could be on the same cruise as others who may have different luggage tags. Disney Cruise Line has advised that if you’ve already received the former version of luggage tags before the change, you do not need to request the new version of luggage tags.
