Our favorite Australian cattle dog is back and better than ever! Bluey, the animated children’s show, is popular globally thanks to the show’s characters, new “minisodes“, merchandise, and more. If you’re anything like us, this news will make your day!
Bluey and her entire family are going to be bigger than ever thanks to the news that the first ever Bluey movie is in the works!

Disney announced today, December 17th, that the first ever animated feature film for Bluey is expected to hit theaters in 2027 before finding its permanent home on Disney+. This is of little surprise thanks to the show’s multiple Emmy and BAFTA awards.
Bluey even appeared in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade
The movie will be written and directed by Joe Brumm, the creator of the original show. The movie continues Bluey’s adventures of growing up and living with her Mom, Dad, and sister, Bingo. The movie will be bringing back the original voice actors as well, and we personally can’t wait to hear their soothing Australian accents on the big screen.

The movie comes off the back of Bluey being the most watched series on Disney+ globally with more than 50.5 billion minutes watched on the streaming service, according to Disney.
