What could make a runDisney event even better? Disney VILLAINS, of course!

It’s Maleficent!
Disneyland’s first Half Marathon Weekend got off to a running start this year and joined the ranks of some of our favorite runDisney events like Disney World’s Princess Half Marathon weekend and the Wine & Dine races. But, if you thought that the first half marathon in Disneyland had already run its course, get ready because we’re getting another go at it and it’s getting even spookier!
runDisney runners might not want to hang up those laces quite yet — and trust us, the reason behind it all is wickedly good! Disney’s just announced the latest theme for its upcoming race weekend “filled with miles of mischief” when the Disneyland Half Marathon returns to Disneyland next fall.

The Evil Queen in Hong Kong Disneyland
The 2025 Disneyland Halloween Half Marathon Weekend is BACK for its second year “running” and will take place from September 4th to 7th, 2025. The upcoming frightful fall race weekend with feature four days of events to enjoy by all skill levels including yoga, Kids Races, 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, and a Challenge, all centered around a few of the delightfully devious Disney villains.

Not only will you be one of the select few to run these wickedly wonderful courses through the Disney parks but you’ll also be surrounded by Disneyland’s Halloween décor will you do! It’ll make all those eerie feelings as you’re running melt away when you feast your eyes on those stunning finisher medals. Here’s a quick rundown of each race’s theme and coordinating villain.
There’s no room for any “poor unfortunate souls” when Ursula’s in charge of the 2025 Disneyland Halloween 5k race putting you to the test through a wicked 3.1 miles!

2025’s Disneyland Halloween 10K race is just right “fur” Cruella De Vill to take the wheel! This 6.2-mile race will wind you through both of Disneyland’s parks, but you may not want to “paws” too long with such a deviant villain in charge.

Keep calm (and don’t lose your head) when you start your race weekend by balancing your mind, body, and spirit with an early morning yoga session. This event is hosted by the Queen of Hearts and offers its participants a unique view of Sleeping Beauty Castle before the park opens. There will also be special photo opportunities and appearances by some of your favorite Disney characters as an added bonus.
