REVIEW: Trying Boozy POG Juice at Dawa Bar in Disney World

Animal Kingdom is full of restaurant gems, but some of them are more tucked away than people think.

Dawa Bar

Dawa Bar is one of them — this bar, located right near Tusker House in Africa, is home to some great concoctions that are great when you just need a quick drink but don’t want to spend too much time at a table service restaurant/lounge. No reservations are needed here, and we stopped by recently to grab two of our favorite drinks from the menu!

This is a full bar, so as long as the bartenders have what they need, they can make you almost any drink you’d like, but one of our absolute favorites is the Ngumu Jungle Juice. This is the iconic POG (Passionfruit, Orange, and Guava) Juice that you can find a few other places around Disney World resort, but it’s also got Snow Leopard Vodka and Bols Peach Schnapp.

Ngumu Jungle Juice

This drink is verrrry sweet and is great for those who enjoy citrus flavors and don’t want to taste the alcohol in their drink as much. However, if you DO want to taste the alcohol in your drink, then we recommend the Harambe Iced Tea! This is made with SVEDKA Vodka, New Amsterdam Gin, Don Q Rum, Van Der Hum Liqueur, Sweet-and-Sour, Orange Juice, and a splash of Sprite. It’s the strongest of the pre-mixed drinks here, so a heads up on that. If you’re used to strong drinks, this still may not be it for you, but we still recommend giving it a try at least once!

Harambe Iced Tea

While this spot isn’t air conditioned, it is shaded from the sun, and that can make the world of a difference on a hot day. So the next time you’re looking for a quick drink while you’re walking around the park, head on over to Dawa Bar!
