Disney World has updated its closures for Hurricane Milton!

Disney World has already begun a phased closing of its theme parks today, October 9th, with Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, and Disney Springs closing at 2PM. Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom both closed at 1PM.

When Disney World announced the phased closure yesterday, they also announced that they expected the parks to remain closed on October 10th. Now, the latest update has confirmed that the Disney World theme parks and Disney Springs will remain closed on October 10th. As well, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party on October 10th is still canceled.

For any partially used multi-day tickets, the expiration dates will be adjusted to expire on October 11th, 2025. If you had a ticket for the October 10th Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, you will be receiving a refund for your ticket.

Disney World Transportation will stop operating on October 9th once Disney Springs and the theme parks close, and the Minnie Van service will stop providing rides beginning at 4PM on October 9th. There will still be limited Mears taxi service available, but if you are in Disney World currently, you should be sheltering in place until the hurricane passes through.

On October 9th, a tornado warning was issued until 3 PM for Osceola county in which parts of Disney World reside in. Although the warning is until 3 PM, there is still a tornado watch until 9 PM.

Previously, Disney World has also announced some other closures. Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground and the Treehouse Villas at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa temporarily closed at 11AM on Wednesday, October 9th. These resorts are likely to remain closed until Sunday, October 13th.

Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon, Winter Summerland Miniature Golf, and Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf will be closed on Wednesday, October 9th. Disney’s Blizzard Beach remains closed for planned refurbishment.
