It may be Halloween season, but Disney World is also celebrating another extra special holiday!
It’s Hispanic & Latin American Heritage Month, and that means there are dozens of delicious treats to try around Disney World, as well as some special entertainment and offerings. We stopped by EPCOT recently to check out one of those limited-time celebrations!
If you’ve ever walked past the Mexico Pavilion, you may have encountered the incredibly talented band, Mariachi Cobre. They’re a group of singers and musicians who perform traditional Mexican tunes as well as Disney songs.
Well, if you stop by one of their shows from September 15th to October 15th, you’ll notice that they’re celebrating “Together we are Magia!” The pavilion they perform under has some seasonal decorations, and the show includes a special guest…
…that’s right, Miguel from Pixar’s Coco is in the show! He stopped by for a few minutes, and took some time to say hello to the crowd, then hung out with the band as they performed songs from his movie.
This would be a great short stop for your Coco-loving kiddos, as this is currently the only place you can see or meet Miguel in EPCOT. What a fun addition for the next few weeks!
For other unique offerings this month, try checking out the Disney Springs Art Walk, where Nicole Salgar, a Miami-based artist, will be making a mural contribution. Or, for more entertainment, you can check out the Latin artists performing at EPCOT’s Eat to the Beat Concert Series — Luis Figueroa, Mau Y Ricky, Jesse & Joy, and Latin Ambition.
Also, EPCOT has extended the popular show ¡Celebración Encanto! at CommuniCore Plaza. It was originally supposed to run through the summer, but now it will continue until October 15th. Make sure to stop by and check it out if you loved Disney’s Encanto!
We’ll be sharing more updates from Hispanic & Latin American Heritage Month celebrations in Disney World, so stay tuned to DFB — we’ve got quite a few snacks to try! We’ll keep you in the loop with other Disney news as well.
