A NEW Addition Is Coming to the EPCOT Food and Wine Festival's China Pavilion

Alright, EPCOT fans, we’ve got some FUN news you need to hear! Grab a pencil — it’s time to take some NOTES.

2024 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival

The Food & Wine Festival is in full swing and will be taking place from now through November 23rd — we’ve already tried ALL the items from each booth to tell you what’s worth your money and what isn’t. But we just got some exciting news! A NEW snack is coming to the park for a limited time, and we know we’ll be first in line to grab it.

Disney has just announced that to celebrate the Moon Festival, which is also called the Mid-Autumn Festival, there will be a new Snowy Mooncake available from September 8th through 21st! This is a butterfly pea flower-infused snow skin mooncake with creamy custard filling.

You’ll be able to find it at the China Global Marketplace in EPCOT. But what is the Moon Festival, you may ask? The Moon Festival is a harvest festival celebrated in Chinese culture. It’s held on the 15th day of the 8th month of the Chinese lunisolar calendar with a full moon at night (which corresponds to anywhere between mid-September and early October).

While it’s celebrated differently now than it was hundreds of years ago, family and friends still gather together to enjoy each other’s company, eat mooncakes, and watch the moon. We love that Disney is introducing a special offering to celebrate this event that many of us otherwise wouldn’t know about or get to experience!
