Hoist yer colours, mateys!
The Disney Destiny will be a sister ship to the Disney Wish and Disney Treasure, and Disney revealed that the ship will have a first-of-its-kind design theme. Disney is dropping all sorts of announcements about this ship, and we just got news about a BRAND-NEW Pirates of the Caribbean lounge!
Aboard the Disney Destiny, you must choose a side: Heroes or Villains. The ship’s theme will be inspired by Disney Heroes and Villains and will draw “on the legacies of beloved Disney stories, characters, and theme park attractions.” And, Disney just shared that Cask and Cannon — a Pirates of the Caribbean-themed bar — will be coming to the Destiny!
Disney shared that this new lounge is “Inspired by the iconic characters and scenes from the beloved Disney Parks attractions around the world, the new pub will be an eclectic yet cozy watering hole furnished with treasures ‘acquired’ (read: pillaged and pilfered) during the pirates’ many voyages around the globe.”
Not only that, but you’ll be able to catch your favorite game on the television here, plus enjoy rare and specialty rums — and a “selection of ‘bootlegged’ brews developed specially for the venue and served straight from the barrel in true pirate style.”
According to Disney, Imagineers were “inspired by the dynamic duality of every great Disney story when developing this new ship, where opposing forces of light and dark drive characters to rise to their purpose.” Look out for both heroes and villains onboard the ship, including characters from The Lion King, One Hundred and One Dalmatians, and Hercules. Disney teased new spaces, experiences, and entertainment on the ship inspired by the heroes and villains of those popular Disney films.
Currently, the ship is scheduled for delivery in 2025 and will join the Disney Cruise Line’s new fleet of ships, including the Disney Wish, Disney Treasure, and the Disney Adventure, which will have a homeport in Singapore. Stay tuned for booking information and more!
