The day we’ve all been waiting for is finally here — Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is OPEN in Magic Kingdom!
We’ve already had an opportunity to check out the new ride, but we’re so excited for it to officially be open! As part of the celebration, Disney announced new souvenirs, entertainment, and of course, snacks to welcome Tiana’s, and we’re checking a few of those eats out right now!
We’re live from the opening day of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Magic Kingdom and celebrating the only way we know how — with eats and treats, of course! Disney has released quite a few Tiana-themed snacks, and we’ve already reviewed some new favs (including beignets!) But, we’re not stopping anytime soon so let’s check out some more Tiana’s Bayou Adventure eats.
We love a good crisped rice treat, and the Crisped Rice Cereal Treat Lily Pad is almost too adorable to eat. Almost. It’s made with crisped rice cereal, white chocolate, green icing, and a green apple gummy frog on top.
We’re happy to report that this tastes pretty much exactly what you would expect it to taste like. If you’ve ever had a classic Rice Krispy Treat coated in chocolate, this tastes pretty similar, though it’s a bit sweeter from the white chocolate. The gummy frog is nothing special and just tastes like a gummy candy you’ve probably had before. The rice treat was super soft, although the chocolate melts and makes it a bit messy to eat. It’s cute, but nothing to write home about.
Next up, we grabbed the Pecan Praline Caramel Apple. This guy was really tasty! The chopped praline pecans added a great crunch and flavor, and they weren’t overly hard which was good so you could actually take a bite. The caramel was soft and had a lot of butter flavor, and that combined with the praline pecans was definitely the dominant flavor. The dark chocolate takes a back seat, but it was a nice addition that helped round out the flavors. It is hard to eat like most caramel apples, but very tasty! While it’s definitely more unique than a regular caramel apple, we’re not sure it would be a dessert we would rush to Magic Kingdom for.
You can snag the Lily Pad treat and the Caramel Apple at:
- Main Street Confectionery at Magic Kingdom Park
- Big Top Souvenirs at Magic Kingdom Park
- Goofy’s Candy Company at Disney Springs
- Disney’s Candy Cauldron at Disney Springs
- Zuri’s Sweets Shop at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park
- Screen Door General Store at Disney’s BoardWalk
- Bayview Gifts at Disney’s Contemporary Resort
The Green Apple Gummi Frogs are a good option if you’re looking to have a snack on the go! These are available at the Emporium right now or at Critter Co-Op once it officially opens.
The frogs were super sweet, which is to be expected with a gummy candy like this. We didn’t love the green apple flavor — mainly because it was incredibly artificial tasting to us. Of course, we realize this is an artificial candy, but we were hoping for something a bit more natural tasting. Folks with a sweet tooth and kids would probably enjoy these!
The Spicy Butter Toffee Peanuts are another grab-and-go option that you can grab at the Emporium right now or at Critter Co-Op once it opens.
The peanuts were super crunchy and the sweetness was the first flavor we were hit with — followed by that buttery toffee. The subtle heat kicked in later and was definitely “Disney spicy,” meaning it won’t totally wreck you, but after eating a few handfuls, the heat definitely intensifies. These make a great not-too-sweet snack if you’re looking for something you can toss in your park bag and have later too.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is available via a virtual queue, and it is also part of Disney Genie+ (soon to be known as Lightning Lane Multi-Pass). That means this ride does NOT have an individual (or a la carte) Lightning Lane. To ride, you’ll be able to purchase Genie+ for Magic Kingdom (or get the multi-park Genie+ option) and reserve a Lightning Lane for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.
On the way to the bayou, you might want to pick up a new souvenir sipper cup while you’re at it! Disney is selling a new Princess Tiana Sipper for $18, and a soft drink is included. Not gonna lie; we love that twisty straw.

New souvenir alert!
