Rain is often a common part of many Disney World days, especially during the summer months.
We have plenty of tips on how to deal with rainy days in Disney World — it doesn’t need to ruin your vacation! If you’re heading into the parks this week, we’re warning you ahead of time that you’ll want to be prepared for LOTS of rain.
It’s looking like this upcoming week will not only be a very wet and stormy one in Central Florida, but the heat also will be making an appearance again. The highs will range from 91-93 degrees Fahrenheit while the lows sit around 76 degrees Fahrenheit.

In some climates, rain can feel like they cool the temperature down, but in Disney World, it often makes things feel MORE stuffy and like you’re breathing through a wet towel.
However, it does mean that the sun may be blocked by dark clouds at different points of the day, meaning that you’ll be getting a break from the sun’s aggressive rays. You’ll still need to wear that sunscreen though!
We strongly suggest downloading a more in-depth weather app than what your phone comes with, such as Weather Bug, to see real-time, minute-by-minute updates. This way, you’ll be notified when storms are on the way! Outdoor rides will close when lightning is close by (but many will still run in rain), so keep a close eye on your weather app and try to plan your outdoor rides when storms won’t be around.
And if you’re looking for the perfect poncho to grab for your trip, we personally own the Cosowe Poncho and LOVE it!
We love the way it snaps up and that the material it’s made out of is durable. We can wear it over and over again without it getting torn or gross.
