What can you do to survive this hot, hot summer at Disney World?

Well, one fun thing you could do is take the opportunity to explore the Disney World resorts and taste some refreshing summer drinks! That’s exactly what we’re doing and we’re inviting you along for the ride. Let’s head over to the All-Star Music Resort and cool down with a summer drink!

As we were saying, we popped on over to the Singing Spirits Pool Bar at the All-Star Music Resort because (let’s face it) it’s hot and we wanted to get something refreshing. So let’s talk about the drinks we tried!

The two drinks we wanted to try were the Splash of Blues ($16) and the Frozen Pineapple Cooler ($14). Let’s start with our thoughts on the Splash of Blues.

The Splash of Blues has this fun blue color and is made with Absolut Vodka, Beefeater Gin, Bacardi Superior Rum, Corazon Blanco Tequila, Bols Blue Curacao Liqueur, Sour Mix, and Sprite.

Like we said, it’s been boiling outside (Florida feels like it’s on the surface of the sun right now) so the first thing we noticed was how melted this one got immediately. This definitely impacted the overall flavor, or shall we say, lack of flavor.

What we could taste well was the sour mix, but we definitely got a lot of the alcohol aftertaste with this one. To be perfectly fair, since it was so hot out and melted so much, we’re not too sure if there would’ve been more flavor usually or not. Overall, it wasn’t our favorite, but it might be a good option for you if you’re not a fan of overly sweet drinks.

Now, let’s talk about the Frozen Pineapple Cooler! This one has a bright yellow-orange color and is made with Lunazul Reposado Tequila, Pineapple Juice, Mango Puree, Lemon Juice, and Lime Juice.

Wow. Right off the bat, what a difference. There’s a LOT of pineapple flavor and it’s super refreshing, especially with all this heat.

Now, we didn’t get much of an alcohol taste with this one, and pineapple is the strongest flavor (don’t go expecting to taste anything else). Overall, we think it’s a very refreshing drink that’s perfect for the summer!
